Guest *KNK* Report post Posted August 15, 2005 I'm watching the re-run and I believe Lynn/Waltman is even better the second time around.

Aj Styles vs. Samoa Joe was unbelievable! 1Wrestling.com reader Lee D To put it simply TNA's PPV "Sacrifice" was the BEST TNA show that I have ever seen and it was SO AWESOME, that I don't know how they'll top it with "Bound For Glory" or "Unbreakable" but I'll be watching every step of the way to see them try! TNA THANK YOU!!! 1Wrestling.com reader Dan Hoff I enjoyed this PPV...It had several great matches…I strongly suggest if you missed this event do whatever you can to order the replay...this Pay Per View easily has event of the year written all over it and I am sure that it will easily blow away next weekend's upcoming wrestling PPV by the promotion in Stamford. 1Wrestling.com reader Tim Winters TNA delivers in a big way once again. Astro101 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Very good show. Some sweet matches on the card that would've been soooo much better with a few more minutes. I hope that stipulation stands, that JJ doesn't get a shot for a year. I really hate to say I'm wrong, but Sean Waltman is back, guys. And I like him now with this storyline with Lynn. Again, very good show.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted August 15, 2005 The Joe/Styles match was as expected nothing short of awesome. All TNA has to do is create emotion in its product and get new announcers and they are on the right track. They got the talent and the presentation just need to develop that emotional aura if it's looking to be the alternative to WWE.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 I'm fine with the announcers. I guess it's just they've grown on me since the fourth or fifth weekly ppv show they did when I started watching. But if they can get a good heel wrestling announcer, that'd be great. Daniels added just incredible commentary in that match with the Super X Cup.

Michrome 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Just got to watch through the show. Overall it was definitely my favorite TNA show yet, but KNK is right that the matches lacked emotional attachment. TNA's biggest challenge is making the crowds actually care about who wins. Aries/Daniels was exactly what it should have been. Aries is perfect for TNA, and I'm almost sure he's going to get a deal after this showing. He looked to be in great shape. Joe/Styles was not as good as I hoped but still very good. For a match that was supposed to carry the show, they sure didn't give it much time to do so. There were a ton of great spots in here, but if they were more spread out over 20 rather than 15 this could have been great. As much as I hated the interference, giving AJ a visual pin on Joe makes him an instant contender once Joe takes the title. And yeah, he is taking the title, they simply cannot derail his momentum at this point. Top 2 matches for BFG look like AJ/Joe and Raven/Jarrett. BFG is going over the 3 hour mark, so I think they'll get the time they need there. It'll be interesting to see how Joe and Daniels work their match next month. I'm guessing Daniels is the first to reach the ropes in the choke, but loses to another Joe finisher that can make its debut next month: The Chimera combo. The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 I agree with Michrome. It is a tad bit annoying that Joe/Styles only got 15 minutes and a ref bump. Take out the needless Daniels interference and add 5 freaking minutes. Shocker/Shelley was really fun and unique. Aries/Daniels was pretty much perfect for what they had to do (Daniels has been beating everyone clean...and as much as they gave Aries all his offense...he's not contracted and he's not heading into a high profile match with Joe next month). Obviously with more time they could have had a really great match...but they used their time perfectly. Lynn/Waltman, to me anyway, was really good. As much of a scumbag as Waltman is...he's earning his keep out there. I didn't think anything was really bad (That a boy Hoyt!) but the number of matches the new booking team feels the need to squeeze into one show is really hurting the chances of anything being must see blow away great. 10 minutes for Aries/Daniels I understand. 15 minutes for Joe/Styles is unacceptable. Unless they go back to them for a legit show stopping match (which they've now teased to the TNA audience that they can do) the allotted time is a disapointment. But...Joe chocked him out...so I'm pleased. When Joe defends the title against him and beats him again...even better. I can't imagine anyone who ordered tonight...regardless of their motivation...not being down to order Joe/Styles II. And maybe that was the point.
{''({o..o})''} 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Nothing wrong with leaving people wanting more. Pretty sure that a rematch when Joe has the title will be booked for more time, if only for the fact that the title itself would make them fight harder and longer over just a title shot. Carnival 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 I'm calling repeat, and Jarrett beating Raven tonight, getting the belt next month, and TNA debuting on Spike with Jarrett on top. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that scenerio I agree with sledgehammer about the results of the next PPV, but who does that leave to challenge Raven for the title in the October PPV? Raven vs Jarrett wouldn't make sense now. Unless they make Hardy vs Jarrett for the #1 contendership.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Whether it makes sense or not, by hook or by crook, Jarrett is main eventing BFG with Raven. The reason last night's ending was what it was is Jarrett isn't stupid enough to book his title shot before TNA gets on Spike. Rhino winning and taking the main even slot for the Sept ppv let's Jarrett spin his wheels some until TNA is on Spike, then he'll make his main event move. Michrome 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Just thinking about unbreakable, I'm almost sure they're going to have too many matches again. Raven vs. Rhino Jarrett vs. Hardy AMW vs. Naturals Samoa Joe vs. Chris Daniels Next Chapter of James/Gunn Next Chapter of Lynn/Waltman Likely rematch of sorts with Abyss/Hoyt AJ needs a match Shocker vs. Shelley again At that point we have 9 matches without using any of the X undercard guys. Ideally they should combine a couple. Maybe something like... Raven vs. Rhino Jarrett vs. Hardy AMW vs. Naturals Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels Waltman/Williams vs. Lynn/Styles Abyss/Brown vs. Hoyt/Sabu (Hardcore match) Billy Gunn/Team Canada vs. 3 Live Crew Shelley/Bentley/Skipper vs. Shocker/Aries/Sabin
RedJed 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 I'm pretty much in agreement with most here on alot of the opinions on the matches. Overall I thought, from top to bottom, this was one of the most solid TNA ppvs yet - it flowed just nice and didnt leave for much, if any, dull spots. I'll post more thoughts later when I have time. I would just finally do Kip Vs BJ James at Unbreakable and not extend that storyline any further.
CheesalaIsGood 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 My second TNA PPV in a row and they haven't let me down. The last one was slightly better overall but really only because Sabin was used in a tag match. Holy dogshit Samoa Joe is good.

I think what might happen is now that Road Dogg is back with them, we will see Konnan turn heel within the next few months. From that the NAOs will reform and Truth will go solo and feud with Konnan. With that said, you could still do Gunn v. Road Dogg at the next ppv AND still keep the storyline going from there. This would be my best guess at a prelim card for next ppv Raven-Rhino - NWA title match Jarrett-Hardy - Number one contender, some sort of gimmick match Sabu-Abyss Joe-Daniels Team Canada v. Naturals v. AMW Waltman v. Lynn 2 James v. James Styles or Hoyt v. Brown(??) X division filler, Styles could be included in this spot too

Lynn/Waltman needs to be another singles match, which can lead to a ladder match at BFG. I don't know if they're ready to pull the trigger on AMW/Naturals quite yet. I really like Kip/Team Canada vs. 3LK and Abyss/Brown vs. Hoyt/Sabu. I'd rather see AJ win a #1 Contendership in a four-way with Shelley, Aries, and maybe Sabin. But of course, that's just me. Raven needs to go over Rhino CLEAN (no Jarrett run-in) in a good brutal match. Jarrett can go over Hardy, and that'd set up Raven/Jarrett II where Raven can finally rid us of the poison at BFG.
