Guest karlitoapple Report post Posted August 15, 2005 --Frankie Kazarian was let go by WWE over the past few days. And coincidentally, his former tag partner, Matt Bentley, is no longer with TNA as his contract expired and he wouldn't accept the new deal offered
daileyxplanet 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Fascinating. Now they're free to set the indie world on fire, eh?
Astro101 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 That sucks. I think they need to get Traci and Shelly together and form some stable.
RedJed 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 TNA might be able to get him back, when you consider Kazarian is now gone from WWE and a re-pairing of the Bentley/Kazarian team might really help the tag division, as they had high hopes for them way back when but Rhodes booked them half-ass and by the time Dusty was outed, Kazarian left the company. Plus what other alternatives do both have other than ROH and indy spots? Bentley would be a fool to not even take a small paycut if need-be, when you consider the upcoming national TV deal and the perfect timing of Kazarian out of WWE and looking to most likely return to TNA. Magus 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 I like both Bentley and Kazarian, but I honestly wouldn't mind if they didn't make a return. I mean, look at TNA's tag division: AMW, the Naturals, James Gang (soon), the Dudleyz (soon), Team Canada, Siaki/Apolo, Diamond/Young, and Hardy/Shannon Moore (soon). That's eight teams right there, and there's always potential to make more.
Astro101 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 Is there anything said for Hardy and Moore? I mean, looks like Hardy may have something to do with the main event level, possibly with Abyss. And the James Gang doesn't look to be happening unless BG James is gonna turn against 3LK.
Magus 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 Moore is pretty much a lock to sign with TNA as soon as his no-compete is over. The best place for Jeff is in a tag team, and since Shannon is supposedly such good pals with the Hardys, its a no-brainer. I think its the best use of both men. "The James Gang" has already been copyrighted by TNA, so its pretty much set that BG and Kip are going to team up at some point. The only question is how will the angle play out. TNA would be stupid not to reunite one of the most popular tag teams ever, even if its under a different name.
TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 PWInsider is reporting that the contract is not expired yet, but similiar to Monty Brown this summer, they don't plan to use him during negotiations because they are apparently far apart. Here's what Mike Johnson wrote: Matt Bentley (the former Michael Shane) is currently at an impasse in his contract negotiations with TNA. The promotion won't be using him until he comes to terms on a new deal and they are far apart on money. Bentley's current deal expires in a few months. There are some who don't expect him back, but nothing is settled. Speaking of Bentley, I wouldn't be shocked to see his former partner Frankie Kazarian used down the line as he departed TNA initially on good terms when leaving for WWE. credit: PWInsider.com
