OAO SmackDown! Thread

Recommended Posts

The first SmackDown! after SummerSlam will include a monster main event as World Heavyweight Champion Batista, United States Champion Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio team up to face JBL, Orlando Jordan and Eddie Guerrero.

Weird seeing EDDY~! teaming up with JBL after all the shit that went on between them during their feud. Gotta love wrestling's insistence on destroying continuity… unless of course they address it beforehand.

Meanwhile, Booker T & Sharmell will be Christian's guest on the Peep Show.

From one soap opera angle to another. Who will get custody of the Spinaroonie? Please, won't someone think of the Spinaroonie?!?!?

The No Holds Barred Match turned out to suit Batista just fine as the World Heavyweight Champion defended his championship by defeating JBL at SummerSlam.

Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio regained custody of Dominick in a wild Ladder Match against Eddie Guerrero.

Plus, Randy Orton, with the help of his father Cowboy Bob, defeated Undertaker.

Can't wait for that segment… to be over.

And SmackDown! has a new United States Champion as Chris Benoit made Orlando Jordan tap out in a matter of seconds.

Don’t miss the first SmackDown! after SummerSlam on UPN (8/7) CT.

Unless you have something more constructive to do, like clean your toilet or delouse your family pet…

Prediction: 3 pages by Friday noon. But just barely.

I like the main event. I don't like Booker T and his annoying wife on the Peep Show because they just HAD a fucking feud, unless they are doing a stupid mini-feud that Booker T will probably win.

**Did anyone see Byte This about Christy and Stacy? They mention the pillow fight and the network not allowing it and I'm like WTF that is being aired tonight....**

I'm actually enjoying this match so far.

They are really putting over Hardcore's finisher here, nice little escapes by Orton.

Hopefully they don't put it over TOO much.

THat could mean another Holly World Title match ala Royal Rumble 04.

I know that no one wants it, but one day Holly will not only get a shot at the title again...he'll win it. I predicted JBL would do it, and I think they'll give it to Holly down the line some day.

That was a perfectly acceptable TV match right there, so I'm ok with SD so far tonight.

Ok, who is this guy?

And isn't that great guy from Velocity, Ken Kennedy, supposed to make his SD debut tonight?

Well, I thought he was great anyway.

That match was pretty solid actually, lot of good psychology going on and two good alabama slam spots (no matter how lame that finisher really is)

A 3rd JBL/Batista match though..whats the point..unless its like, Hell in a Cell, which they wouldn't give away for free on TV even for the Season Premier of Smackdown on a new night.

They did do Brock/Angle Ironman match 2 years ago for the season premiere..

That was so awesome.

This needs to be his new gimmick. Beats people in set amount of time and do little things like that.

I still think they should be called D-Mex..

And is John Deer the lawnmower of choice for tricking out..I've seen the lawnmower racing and they just use the cheap ones. Funny that WWE spends the money for them to have John Deer lawn mowers..
