CanadianChris Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I was going to announce this next week and run it myself, but ESPN.com has a free pool running, so I'm just using that. All are welcome to join. I don't think there's a limit. Rules are simple -- pick a team that you think will win each week. The only catch is that you can't pick the same team twice during the entire season. If the team you pick for any given week loses, you're out. Entry page is here: http://games.espn.go.com/eliminator/frontpage Once you've signed up, go to Join a Group. The (private) group name is "TSM NFL Survivor". Password is "tsm".
Gert T Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I'm in, and I went with the majority ESPN pick (Rams @ 31%)
Cuban Linx Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I'm in as well, i look forward to picking a heavily favored team that ends up losing like i seem to do every season.
alfdogg Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I'm in, and I went with the Rams for week 1.
Prime Time Andrew Doyle Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 The fucking thing keeps on telling me i'm logged in as a child under 13, yet my member profile shows my age as correctly being 18. Has anybody else had that problem?
Cuban Linx Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I haven't had that problem, but ESPN seems to just randomly decide to be an asshole when it comes to signing up to it's various fantasy games. I know it's given me all sorts of problems over the years, though they seem to work themselves out eventually.
Guest *KNK* Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 That has happened to me all day. I sent them an e-mail but knowing ESPN, they won't respond to it until Week 14 of the season.
Mik Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I joined as well - picked Carolina for week 1.
iggymcfly Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 The fucking thing keeps on telling me i'm logged in as a child under 13, yet my member profile shows my age as correctly being 18. Has anybody else had that problem? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, it did the exact same thing to me. ESPN's retarded.
KingPK Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I'm in as well and I'm going with the Rams.
CanadianChris Posted September 6, 2005 Author Report Posted September 6, 2005 I also took the Rams. I'm staying away from Saints games until I see them a couple of times.
Gert T Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 That was a nice cup of coffee, see you all next September.......
Fökai Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Anyone want to give me a recap on who's left (just observing)?
Richard Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Well I'm still in (took the Pats). overall 60.66% of all participants are eliminated. Would have been 72.14% if Chicago had pulled it out.
Cuban Linx Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I'm in as well, i look forward to picking a heavily favored team that ends up losing like i seem to do every season. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Too bad i can't predict winning football teams as well as i can predict my inevitable screw-ups.
CanadianChris Posted September 12, 2005 Author Report Posted September 12, 2005 There's a glitch that lists everyone who picked St. Louis as winning 24-14. Strange. I think there's actually a second chance feature in this pool.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Well I'm still in (took the Pats). overall 60.66% of all participants are eliminated. Would have been 72.14% if Chicago had pulled it out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was stupid enough to pick Chicago..
Richard Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 It's down to me and one other person.
