BifEverchad Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 I'm in the process of making a mixed CD for this evening. A friend of mine is getting off work in a couple of hours and I wanna have a good mixed CD made and a couple of joints rolled for tonight's festivities. So, any ideas? I usually stick to somewhat of a criteria or a format when making these CDs we have for our reefer smoking adevntures. We include any Rock/Alt tracks that may be good today (ie) Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, Stereophonics, etc as well as any other lesser known acts that can be surprisingly good, (ie) Interpol, Hot Hot Heat, Fall Out Boy. Also some great hip/hop beats from today (ie) Kanye West, Jay-Z, Sweatshop Union, etc, But we also go back in time a little, not exactly "old school" but 90's style music, with some occasional Method Man, Biggie, Nirvana, Sloan, Offspring, etc. Also, to mix it up a bit we go take a blast from the past a get some really old country song by the likes of George Jones, and/or some classic Ray Charles song or an early Stevie Wonder track. Also to spice it up, and for some comic relief, we try and include a couple of clips, from movies, tv shows, etc to liven up the mood. But right now, after making about 20 or so of these CDs over the past year or so, I'm running out of ideas/songs. So, I need some help. Any input you can give me to turn me in the right direction or introduce me to a gem that you know of, or a classic tune I might somehow be forgetting. I just started and I have: - Kanye West "Gold Digger" - Our Lady Peace "Boy" - The Trews "Sweetness" - Napoleon Dynamite (Kip - "Always And Forever")

Carnival Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 I suggest Necro - "murder ya life" (remix) he steals the beat from rockwell's "watching me" and steals the michael Jackson hook. I don't really like necro, but i like to hear someone rapping over that beat. And, Bif, how did the Twiztid song treat ya?
