Per doctor's advice, Bonds plans to lose over 20 pounds before the start of spring training to 'save' his knee, basically preventing it from breaking down again. He's going to be only fifteen pounds away from his weight in his rookie season (185). It's a general consensus that this move is for his own good, both personally and professionally.

As for me, I'm going to miss Barry Bonds, professional wrestler.

Didn't the White Sox have the best record in the American League in 2000 only to get swept out of the Playoffs in the first round by the Mariners???

In all seriousness, I don't understand why everyone is down on the White Sox and is rooting for the Indians to take it from them. It's weird to me, since the Sox is fairly harmless and yet people here are rooting for their demise. Guess people just hate efficiency and wants to see 20 home runs knocked out every game like with Boston or New York. Whatever man, you guys here with the exception of Al are just terrible with those comments. You guys like teams then jump off their fucking bandwagon after a loss. You guys blast your team for leaving Jose Macias in the game (granted he is a slug). Just the absolute worst lot of "fans" I've ever seen. You guys disgust me. Later.

Or we hate seeing all of the White Sox success attributed to Ozzie Guillen and the offense only, when it's been the pitching that has gotten them their record. Now that the pitching has been average instead of being above-average like it had been all year, they've fallen down to earth. And instead of doing what a manager should do and rally behind his players, Guillen is throwing them under the bus to make it seem like it's not his fault. It's really not, but it's disheartening to see a manager ripping his players like Guillen does.

Umm all year along the credit went to the pitching. They were always like "Relying on their strong arms the White Sox beat this team by this score. The offense was once again weak and they had to rely on defense and pitching!" So I don't know what you're talking about with the love for the offense.

All I see online is credit going to Ozzie for their turn around, and people bowing down for Scott Podsednik being the MVP and whatnot. And I'm not talking about on here, I'm talking elsewhere.

Wow, someone's taking the ChiSox collapse quite hard.

Everyone loves seeing a team come back from a big deficit and take the division, it's as simple as that. It's part of the fun of sports. It's not over until it's OVER. And the White Sox are living proof of that.

Cleveland jumps up on a 2-0 lead against the shitty Royals while the Yankees are down 1-0 against the Blue Jays. On a side note Jorgay Posada has got to be the worst baserunner ever in Baseball. He got picked off of first by the catcher.

Posted

Arod with another homerun and 2 rbi's so far. It is now 4-2 Blue Jays.

Wow Chokeland A's are actually scoring runs against the Red Sox and have at least a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.

Yankees wasting a Oakland split IN Fenway. Frustrating.

Yeah they're wasting it by winning 6 in a row and now possibly losing ONE game. OMG CHOKERS

I wasn't talking about losing a game to the Indians. I'm frustrated that the Sox never lose at home, and when they do, were losing.

I have a good feeling were winning this game, though.

My beef with the White Sox has been their shitty attitude all season. Ever since they got the cushy lead in the Central, they've done nothing but run their mouths on a near-daily basis. It's one thing to be sure of yourself and your team, but a great deal of these guys turned into arrogant assholes the moment they got some success.

When they were on such a role, all you heard was "smartball this" and "Ozzieball" that. Podsednik's involvement on that roster created the illusion that this team wasn't a homerun-hitting team anymore. They were all about moving runners along and blah, blah, blah. Well, they still hit lots of homers and they still move guys along. But without the great pitching, that's not exactly a formual for winning. I can't stand Dusty Baker, but Ozzie isn't much better. He plays scrubs like Timo Perez because of "intangibles." Those are debatable, but the fact that he has god-awful numbers isn't.

You wanna talk about how bad the Cubs fans are; hey, I'll give you that one. 2003 is beginning to look more like a negative than ever before. It gave us hopes of success each year and the fall from grace hasn't been taken in stride. But it's great how all these White Sox "fans" come out of the woodwork when the team is finally winning and now that they're not, they're freaking out like whiny bitches.

Alan Embree has got to be the worst Left Hand specialist I have ever seen. God why does Torre continue to use this bum.

Posted

Blue Jays leading 6-5 with 2 outs in the top of the ninth. Cano is on second with Derek Jeter up. If the bum Embree didn't give up that run in the 8th who knows where the game would be now.

Posted

Of course Derek strikes out looking. Derek haven't you learned by now you stupid bum that Everytime you move your stomach out and watch the pitch go by you it's a FUCKING STRIKE. SWING THE BAT.

Posted

Ump screws over the Yanks and calls out Jeter on a ball way inside to end the game.

FUCK.

Edit: Things would have been different if Embree doesn't give up the run. First off, they hold Lawton and don't just let him steal 2nd.

AHH.

Mike the ball was inside but you dont keep your bat on your shoulder and look at the pitch from start to end as it goes into the catchers glove and let the Umpire decide. I would much rather see Jeter hit the ball and make an out or swing and miss than get called looking at strike 3.
