Oh god. I just realized I'm going to get stuck watching Notre Dame blow out Washington while Georgia Tech plays their biggest game in five years.

Regional coverage sucks.

Oh man we are going to get killed and on national TV no less. Well, maybe I can get to be on ABC for the first time. I'll get my brother to tape it or something and look for me later.

Who's your team again and who's killing them?

Has ABC released their coverage map for this week yet?

I don't see one yet but it's a three time slot, doubleheader which means only the west coast gets USC/Oregon and the rest of country splits between the two early games. Yup it's lame.

So USC has been like the best team in the country for a while now yet only the West Coast really ever gets to watch them? Gay. I was so mad that I didn't get USC/Cal last year.

I need to clear off the ol' TiVo so I can capture the LSU-Tennessee game since I'll be there live.

I'm hoping it'll be something I *want* to see again, unlike the godawful LSU-Alabama and LSU-Notre Dame games on ESPN from the Dinardo era.

Damnit. I tried to snag some standing room only tickets for USC vs Oregon but they sold out quick. Ill still be in Eugene anyways getting drunk and hoping for the biggest upset ever.

Do you guys think theres any way to sneak in to the stadium?

It is pretty ridiculous that we never get to watch USC play.

Maybe I can convince them to show ANY game other than Youngstown St. vs. Pittsburgh. I like my school's team (Uh, Go PITT BASKETBALL?) but GAH DO WE SUCK THIS YEAR.

Suck.

Go Louisville (might as well root for another Big East team :))

TBS has shown USC a few times since that station covers both Big 12 and Pac-10 football. So USC can get lots of clearance I do believe.

And I'll be getting the VT-GT game thanks to me being in the ACC conference coverage zone. Finally, a good game.

I'd love to get the VT-GT game. But I can guarentee a trillion dollars PGH gets the f'in Notre Dame game because Pitt plays them (How many people here REALLY want to watch them play after they beat us :()

HAHA even new ACC city Boston is forced to watch Notre Dame, that's funny...makes me feel somewhat better about being stuck with shit. Maybe I can get a feed from nearby WV that will let me watch it.

WHY does ABC think people want the crappier game. VT and GT could be Game of the Week, and they're showing it to like 1/10th of the country.

At least Iowa v. Ohio State isn't a terrible substitute for USC v. Oregon.

Won't happen. They probably think the whole country loves and wants to watch ND. They are the faces of college football after all! (Yes I was sarcastic)

That's EXACTLY what they THINK. Not sure WHY they don't realize most people would rather watch an exciting game with two teams clearly better than both teams in the other game. Or the fact that people would rather watch the game with actual National Title implications (however meaningless that 'title' is)

Blech.

Hopefully ND is up 42-0 at halftime so they'll switch over to VT-GT.

They never do that any more; it really pisses me off. Last week, I kept going over to the last couple minutes of the UCLA/Oklahoma game in hopes that they'd switch over to Clemson/Miami. Not only did they not switch over during the game, they didn't switch afterward either. Instead, they went straight to an infomercial for some weight loss show called Billy's Booty Burning Party or something. The only way I even got to see any footage of the overtimes was through the "live look-ins" on ESPNEWS.

1. Because Rita is COMIN' RIGHT FOR US! In fact, it's supposed to be hitting Friday night / Saturday morning.

2. LSU already rescheduled ONE game already... the only way they could reschedule another would be if the SEC title game was pushed back a week

This is why ABC fucks over those of us that actually give a shit about good college football. From one of their polls:

Which is the best college football game this week:

Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech 12.0%

Iowa at Ohio State 18.6%

Notre Dame at Washington 15.5%

Tennessee at Florida 33.9%

USC at Oregon 19.8%

I don't know what's more asinine, that ND/UW got more votes than GT/VT or that a game that isn't even being played this week got 33.9% of the vote. I give up; really I do.
