-TNA has received footage of Jushin Liger from New Japan Pro Wrestling and will be using it to promote his 10/23 debut at the Bound for Glory PPV in Orlando, Florida. Liger is being brought in early so he can make a rare Stateside signing appearance at the TNA Fanfest on 10/22 at the Universal Doubletree Hotel. For ticket information to the event, visit www.TNAWrestling.com.

-There is talk that Jushin Liger may be used as a semi-regular attraction for major events. There have also been similar discussions about Ultimo Dragon being used in a similar vein. Dragon will be facing TNA's Jerry Lynn on 10/8 in Long Island, New York for the New York Wrestling Connection. Lynn is one of TNA's top agents, alongside Shane Douglas.

-As noted earlier on PWInsider.com, TNA has signed the former Dudley Boyz, who are expected to debut at the 9/27 TV Taping. A number of former WWE stars have been contacting the company or visiting live events looking to see about getting hired. According to one source, there is interest in Shannon Moore (which is obvious since he's been backstage at all recent events) and in the return of Frankie Kazarian but there isn't talk about using any of the other names that have become available.

-Speaking of Kazarian, one TNA source expects him to return by November. There's no word as to whether he'll be reunited with former partner Matt Bentley though.

-The Bound for Glory PPV is slated to feature "Monster's Ball 2." The initial Monster's Ball bout was held at the Victory Road PPV in November 2004 featuring Monty Brown defeating Abyss and Raven in a no rules match with a lot of weapons involved.

-Dave Sahadi is scheduled to appear on tonight's edition of the Between The Ropes radio show in Florida.

-Jeff Hardy is slated to appear at the 9/24 NWA Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling event in Concord, North Carolina at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center. Former TNA cage dancer Lollipop (remember her?) is scheduled for several events promoted by MACW in the future as well.

-Controversial star of multiple reality TV shows, Johnny Fairplay, has re-signed with TNA recently and as of now is scheduled to be co-host of the syndicated TNA program. It's a show that could end up airing as a second hour on Spike TV in place of replaying TNA Impact on Monday nights. That plan isn't necessarily even being considered officially, it's merely something that's been brought up as a possibility. TNA president Dixie Carter is a fan of Fairplay and wants to capitlize on the fact that he's signed on to a number of future reality TV projects, including possibly Fear Factor.

-Sean Waltman is in good health and back in negotiations with TNA officials. Arrangements are being made to protect TNA from any future no-shows, but Waltman is very well liked and respected by several top officials in TNA who are taking the full circumstances of what caused him to miss the recent PPV into consideration when evaluating whether to re-offer him the contract that was on the table headed into the recent PPV. It appears a strong possibility he'll be signed in time to be at next Tuesday's first TV tapings for Spike TV.

Lots of good news there. The Duds being official is great, as it gives smarks hope that they plan on the first show being big, but they're appearance will still shock first time viewers. The footage of Liger is good too, to help sell his appearance. Fairplay coming back, I could do with, but the possiblity of them using the replay hour as a second hour of TV is interested. I kinda figured they would eventually run Xplosion in that slot, because at the end Xplosion basically became an Impact recap with Shane and Borash explaining the storylines. That might be good to hook newbies on "wrestling night" and then refer them to the first run show on Saturdays. And then TNA can say they produced 2 national shows. And for them to be considering using Waltman again, he must have a damn good reason for having no-showed. I'd love to know what it is.

I don't like them using the replay hour as an extra hour of TV. Mainly because I just can't stay up until 12 on a Monday night to watch. The footage of Liger is really good, because when a casual fan watches, the video could be used to hook them into buying the PPV.

The only thing that bothers me is the Monster's Ball thing. Surely they don't plan to stick Raven or Monty in a meaningless garbage brawl like they did at Victory Road? I don't want to see meaningless matches whose sole purpose is to keep certain people from challenging Jarrett.

If this means that we're getting Victory Road v2, that will suck balls.

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but with the build pointing to Jarrett and Hardy and now this, it certainly seems like they doing VR redux.

Because he was a decent heel manager that was willing to take bumps. Also a long-time fan of pro wrestling, and could bring in some publicity for being a reality TV star and being his prick self on-air.

Corey, we can both agree that he was shit on-air and he never drew a single person to actually watch TNA. He was a mistake that they should have washed their hands of long ago.

You have an X Division. Use that --- not friggin' reality TV guys who nobody outside of hardcore Survivor fanboys give a damn about.

On DVDVR message board, someone is citing a site called PWSpyware saying TNA has inked Austin Aries to a deal and is bringing in Tito Ortiz sometime after the 10/1 debut on Spike TV.

Grain of salt, folks.

PWInsider is reporting that they are going to start taping original matches Xplosion again, so maybe there is something to them using that as the second Spike hour. Here's what Mike Johnson posted:

Jonny Fairplay will be brought back to co-host TNA Xplosion for syndication and international TV. I've been told that at this point, he won't be used on Spike TV. Once the tapings begin this Tuesday, TNA will be taping exclusive matches for Xplosion again.
