Guest Duke_The_Dog Report post Posted November 17, 2005 Teasing Jim as the next to go agin on Martha.... I'm pulling for him to win but I don't see it. Howie was actually my pick at 1st....
slimm44 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2005 Well this season has definitely been better than the last two. 4 strong people are in the final four and from the preview it looks like they are doing another task to get down to 3 instead of doing the interviews to cut 2. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2005 Those two blonde bitches really need their comeuppance. After 3 wins as Project Manager Randall proves he's the man. Hopefully he doesn't screw up on the final stages.
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2005 Coming off an awesome Thanksgiving night episode, we're down to the Final Four on Donald. Let's break down the remaining candidates using the same system that I had a couple weeks ago (chances of winning: 1 is lowest, 5 is highest): ALLA Trump seemed to show a lot of faith in her last night. Her team lost and she was given a free pass. Why didn't she have to answer for the budget, which clearly had too much set aside for carriages and not enough for manpower? Last night aside, she has shown lots of promise, and I think Trump wants her around. Verdict: 3 FELISHA Has done a little bit in the last couple weeks to distinguish herself, but not enough. Previews for next week seem to indicate that the candidate getting fired is "just too weak" (Trump's words), and that seems to fit her to a tee. She didn't fight enough last night to get more street walkers when the budget was set, and it bit their team in the ass. She's had a nice run, but she's not championship material. Verdict: 1 RANDAL The XM task seemed to be his wake-up call after getting a little comfortable. Randal had the thumb pointed at him for that one, but I thought he should've been held a little more accountable for the Star Wars loss too. He was the only self-professed Star Wars fan in the group, so why not take a more prominent role in the project? Nothing he did in either one of those tasks was enough to get fired, so he still deserves to be the favorite, but there's a little luster off his crown right now. Verdict: 4 REBECCA Still my darkhorse of choice. If her and Randal win next week, I think she can give a better performance in the interviews than Alla. Her work in the boardroom has been very strong. Even when Trump blatantly disagreed with one of her decisions (remember the Toral fiasco), he still respected her enough to let her run with it. Not many candidates get that kind of leeway. Then again, should Rebecca and Randal lose next week, I don't think she's got enough to overcome Randal in a one-on-one boardroom setting. She NEEDS to win this coming week so she can build a bit more of a body of work in the interviews and final task. Verdict: 3.5 Predictions: Rebecca and Randal scratch out a close victory in next week's task, leaving the blondes to duke it out for survival. Alla seems to have much more of a killer instinct than Felisha, so that should keep her around. Assuming they do the interviews with the final three candidates, Randal is well-spoken, as evidenced by his performance on the Stand Out class, so he should do well there. And as I mentioned above, I like Rebecca more than Alla in interviews. Alla has enough killer instinct to take out Felisha, but the interviews are a different competition, one in which I like Rebecca. Final task is still Randal's to lose. His star has faded a bit since mid-season, but he's still the best of a strong group.
Guest Monty Burns Report post Posted November 26, 2005 I'm thinking Randall or Rebecca now. Alla's been getting bitchier by the episode and I don't even know why Felisha is still around. Randall has always been strong and Rebecca seems to be a very genuine person, plus she's pretty.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2005 I think any of three could win this if all goes right for them. Felisha has no hope and she is clearly the weakest one there.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2005 While all of the remaining candidates are better than Kendra, I'd rather see Trump fire them all and use the money saved to give Bill a raise.
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2005 Totally did not see Alla getting dumped like that. Great save for the episode because the promos from last week all but wrote off Felisha without saying as much. Alla deserved it and probably shot herself in the foot in the boardroom with her bad-mouthing and constant interruptions. The visual of Trump walking down the hall to the suite at the end was pretty cool. Should be an interesting final two. The teaser for next week was kinda wishy-washy... Is next week the live finale or are they going to start the final task next week and wrap everything up the week after? Let's go to final showdown, chances of winning ranked 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest): RANDAL His whole demeanor this week just seemed to put him in a category above everybody. He seemed to take on an aura of "I've got my spot all but locked up, so now I'm going to pick and choose where I give the goodwill out," as he came right and said that he was going to get Rebecca a win "because she deserved it." That's a lot of confidence. Still, his acting in the Microsoft commercial was pretty passable (and way better than the "actor" they hired... what a stiff). So, he gives motivating speeches, he acts, he leads teams to victories, he even boosts his teammates just because "they deserve it." What DOESN'T this guy do? Verdict: 4 REBECCA She's the underdog, but she's still a strong candidate who would've been a very likely winner in season 3 (definitely) or season 2. Even tho Randal is the favorite, I still think she's got a better shot to pull the upset than Tana had last year or Jennifer did in season 2. Getting the win this week boosts her stock (even if she looked like she was about to laugh when she was supposed to be pissed off in the video... oops). I've liked her boardroom demeanor, even though we haven't had to see it in a few weeks. Out of anybody in the field, she definitely has the best chance of beating Randal. Verdict: 3 I'm curious to see what the surprise is that they're touting and how it affects the final task. Remember, in season 1, they brought back fired candidates and Kwame made the horrendous decision to bring on Omarosa, which probably cost him the job. Whatever the twist is this time, it could really set somebody up for a downfall.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2005 To be honest, I think Randall has to screw up, Jennifer Massey style, to not get the job. At this point it's not about who's better job-wise, but who would make better PR for Trump. And he's already hired a woman.
Guest Monty Burns Report post Posted December 5, 2005 Yep, Randal it will be.
slimm44 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2005 Randal won. Then in the last few minutes he asked Randal if the roles were reversed would he also hire Rebecca, and after giving his 'honest' opinion of her he said it was 'the apprentice, not the apprenti' and totally snubbed her totally screwing up Trumps' wanting to hire her too. Oh well, would have been a great end to the second best season
keith6601 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2005 After the first boardroom, I was thinking Trump might hire them both. Then after they both chose different jobs, Trump made the comment "that just made my choice easier," I was convinced they were both hired. Although Rebecca saying that while the Jersey one looked great she would take the other one, when the choices were Jersey City NJ and Atlantic City NJ just made her look like a complete moron. Then Randell kicked Rebecca's ass to the curb and I'm still laughing. Great ending to this season.
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2005 In wrestling terms, Randal absolutely turned heel in the final 2 minutes. That was a dick move. You won the contest. Nobody was going to dispute that. Dumping on Rebecca like that was totally unnecessary. And what the hell was the deal with Alla? The way she celebrated, you'd have thought SHE got hired. And why was she such a big supporter of Randal anyway? He had a team of three employees for the final task and she wasn't even one of his top FOUR choices. Eh, I'm just bitter. As a fellow scribe, I was pulling for Rebecca. And what can I say? I'm a sucker for the underdogs. Especially cute brunette ones. Randal can go take his five degrees and stick them up his ass. Puh-Lease, by agreeing to have Rebecca hired too, it bascially discredits his entire argument about deserving to be hired OVER her; it basically makes him look like some tool. Imagine working your ass off to win ONE job, only to find out that your employer won't mind hiring your rival, too. If anything, that was a dickish move on Trump's part, who didn't realize that was supposed to be Randall's moment. As for Rebecca, I never saw what Trump saw in her. She only got as far as she did because she's stone cold in the boardroom and she's a great manipulator. If she was ugly, Trump, who is obsessively enamored with beautiful women, would've gotten rid of her a long time ago. Randall was the right and ONLY choice. The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2005 Well, if Trump was guilty of getting blinded by Rebecca, then so was I. Yeah, even as a Rebecca fan, I'll admit that if you're going to hire one, then Randal was the most deserving candidate in the field. And while I don't argue with where Randal was coming from (really, the mistake was Trump's for allowing that to even be a possibility on live TV), I think what Trump was trying to get at was that while Randal was deserving to be the winner of the competition, Rebecca was strong enough that she deserved a job too. Randal probably felt like offering her a job tainted his victory (a valid argument), but I don't think that was what Trump was going for (he was looking at it as tho the competition was over at that point). Unfortunately (for him), that thought process backfired. For us, it just made for a really entertaining finish.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2005 Randel didn't lose a single thing if Trump hired Rebecca. He won. He was the Apprentice. He had the job of his choice. By denying Rebecca a job within the Trump Organization, he altered her professional future in one quick moment, all because of media whorism. That was a dick move. Oh well, would have been a great end to the second best season He was absolutely correct in doing so. He didn't say anything against hiring Rebecca, he just said 'not tonight'. And he's right. The credit is just as important as the money. I probably wouldn't have the guts to make that decision, but it was the right one, which is of course why I wouldn't have made it that far in the first place. starvenger 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2005 I agree with you guys that Randall made the right decision. He simply could've worded it better. And to be honest, if Trump wanted to hire Rebecca right then and there, then he should have, with none of this trying to be cute about it BS. He IS the boss, and Randall shouldn't have had a say in it.
The Robfather 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2005 Welcome to the Trump Organization, Randel. This was his first big moment as an employee and he misread Trump's signals. He made a selfish move that had nothing to do with business. It had everything to do with media whorism and a stupid Highlander cliché.
Guest Monty Burns Report post Posted December 16, 2005 Randal deserved to win but he didn't need to be so blunt and rude at the end - he wouldn't have lost out on anything had Rebecca been hired too.

smh810 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2005 What the hell are you people complaining about? I mean, seriously. First of all, Randal was absolutely 100% right in the position that he took. Having two Apprentices diminishes the prestige of the show. In the season that restored the higher standards of The Apprentice (as opposed to other reality shows) having a double hiring would've been a step back. Secondly, the notion of poor Rebecca is absolute bullshit. She wins either way and I'm sure is gonna land a very good job. Third, I thought Randal answered the question from Trump about as tastefully as he could have and hell he didnt deny Rebecca a job in the Trump organization he said "Not tonight." Some of you guys really need to take the stick out of your ass, it wasnt nearly as bad you make it out to be.
