Guest Brian Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Definately on the replay Cano being outside of the box made it really hard to catch that. Goodness, you would think that McCarver being a former catcher would understand that call rather than sympathize with Cano and the Yanks.
mike546 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I don't see how you can penalize the Yankees for that. If Molina throws it to the outside of the base, its an easy catch. Its not Cano's fault Molina threw it RIGHT at him.
Precious Roy Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 It could have gone either way AND A TIE GOES TO THE RUNNER! HOW CAN YOU MAKE A CALL LIKE THAT IN THE PLAYOFFS?!?!
Guest Brian Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Well, probably they can make that call because that's the rule.
Guest TheDon Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Horrible bs call. Yankees have only themselves to blame. Mussina pitched horrible, the offense isn't doing anything and Bubba and Sheffield sure helped out the Angels.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 What the fuck kind of slide was that?
Big McLargeHuge Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Man, nothing is going the Yanks way.
Precious Roy Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I thought MLB was supposed to rig this game FOR the Yankees
Guest Brian Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 What did the replays say? I missed the replay, but he looked out.
Guest TheDon Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 LOL Juan Rivera is safe but Cano was out? HAHAHAHA.
Guest Brian Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 One is a judgment call, one is in the rulebook.
Precious Roy Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 One is a judgment call, one is in the rulebook. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh get off it. that Cano shit was the ultimate judgement call. the Rivera call was a clean play that the ump BLEW.
Guest Brian Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 There was a box, he was in it, it interfered with the throw. Even if he threw to the outside, he would have still interfered with the throw because it would have taken away the inside when he was never supposed to be running there. The ump is supposed to make that call everytime. As for the play at first, whether he was out and safe, it is based on the umpire's judgment. He has two ways of making that call.
Precious Roy Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I picked the wrong night to stop sniffing glue
mike546 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 This inning is basically the Yankees last chance. The bottom of the lineup isn't doing much at all.
Guest Brian Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 I assume they're going to yank Santana soon.
mike546 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 It's been that kind of series for A-Rod. Well, maybe I'm giving him too much credit. That was the first ball hes hit hard.
mike546 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Matsui and Sheff have single handidley killed this game for us. THREE different popups with a 3-1 count. 7 LOB between them. FUCK.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 My only hang-up about the Angels winning is Colon's status.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 And just for old time's sake: http://www.forums.mlb.com/ml-yankees Also, since Ruuuuuuuuuben is coming up, I thought I'd ask this: why's he on the postseason roster when Lawton isn't?
mike546 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Posada is a huge base runner. Not just for the fact the tying run is up, but for the fact its Jeter, A-Rod and Giambi now in the 9th. Who needs that though. Its time for another RUBE~! playoff moment. edit: Because Lawton was even worse than Sierra once he joined us, plus he wanted to go home because his relatives were involved in Katrina.
Precious Roy Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Well, this game has officially driven me to drink. When my boss asks me why I look like shit tommorow I'll just tell her to ask Joe Torre
Slayer Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Nice to see Beetle Bailey on the mound again
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 No matter who wins, both of these teams are at a huge disadvantage vs the White Sox given game 1 is tomorrow night. I can just see the WS now.. White Sox/Cardinals, and the Cardinals are going to job out to another team with an 80+ year no World Series win streak.
Slayer Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 It'd be kind of funny though 2004: "The Red Sox win the WS!!!" "YEAAAAAAAHHHHH!" and the nation goes nuts 2005: "The White Sox win the WS!" *cricket*
mike546 Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 *knocks on wood* *crosses fingers* TIE THIS UP.
