Is anyone else worried that a roughly 500-word match, written by my tag team partner when he was pissed out of his MIND, can beat our Number One Contender? Anyone? Anyone at all?

Does it make it better or worse when I point out that it was Wednesday when I pointed out to Spike that he was actually facing Card and not me?

And re: the end to my match - Zyon asked for him to be taken out of action for a while. So since I've had enough of injuring people and retiring/temporarily retiring, I had him take himself out. Crazy bastard.

In other news Bruce Blank proves that he is still damn hard to beat in wacky hardcore stips, ELM says that Spike belongs nowhere near the World Title (and seriously Spike, if you can't beat THAT then unless you were the victim of computer failure I'd say the man has a point) and Todd Cortez turns his fortunes around. Go fed!

I'm still trying to figure out how the announcers said KOJI vs. Spike was coming up in a few moments when we'd already seen it. Who got the match order wrong?

Well, according to the card my match was meant to be before KOJI/Spike. So I blame Raynor.

Oops. Sorry about the mixed up match order. It was late, and I was...

... well, I wasn't drunk or sleepy, so I guess I was just stupid, that's all. :P

I started a match, got about 3k in, looked at the card, realized it had to be a hardcore match and I had to go to work. I thought I'd get home in time to finish/fix it after work and send it in, but I was wrong.

Jeez, why the hell are you jumping down my throat, Toxx?

Because you've made the Number One Contender's position look like shit. I mean come on, Card is a good writer and a former World Champion, but he was also pissed out of his mind, super-rushed and, from the conversation I had with him that day, fairly unmotivated for the match. But it was this guy, who is in a tag team with me because neither of us wants to have to give too much commitment to singles matches at the minute, who took the time to put in 500 words so that SOMETHING made the show.

I'm jumping down your throat because after weeks and months of complaining about never getting a World Title shot you've basically had one handed to you, not through beating other contenders but through an angle where Tom was always going to job (and fair enough, I've got nothing against angles), but then you don't get anything in for a match that in kayfabe AND reality, you should have won. Even a 1k match would have beaten Card's. And what's this about the card? I don't know about you, but I tend to look at the card BEFORE I start a match. And don't give me that about Storm - how long has Storm been the hardcore show? EVERY SINGLE MATCH having hardcore rules? Since shortly after New Year, I believe. If you haven't got into the rhythm of that yet I think there's something wrong here.

Now, it might be that come Ashes 2 Ashes you'll wow us all with a fantastic match and win the World Title, in which case good luck to you. My problem is that in the run-up you've made yourself look incredibly weak. I just don't feel that someone challenging for the World Title (or holding the World Title, for that matter) should be someone who only pays attention and puts the effort in when they're challenging for or defending the belt. It's about long-term commitment and consistency.

*gets off soapbox*

Toxx, stay off that soapbox. And don't get back on.

Sure, I should have showed, but I decided not to. Is that bad? Yes. Does that make me look weak in my World Title feud? No.

So, doing the job 1 show after my title program starts makes me look weak? So, I never should have jobbed to JJ Johnson in that Pure Rules match during my feud with Flesher? How about those other jobs I either co-wrote or let the other person write?

Jobbing now is going to set up challengers later if (I mean, I could end up no-showing against ELM, according to you) I win the title. You may be considered the best World Champion in the past year or so, but setting up challengers wasn't your strong point.

Should this job have happened? Probably not. Did it? Yes. And now I will work around it. Can this set up something with TKO in the future? Did I not just lose to KOJI during my big world title chase while my tag team partner was injured against TORU?

Working around losses and building up future matches is what makes a great champion. Not winning PPV main events against no-showers.

I couldn't control my opponent's decisions to no-show. I WAS able to control the fact that I wrote and submitted something each and every single time.

In all fairness, it wasn't a clean job, so that wouldn't hurt you as badly as, say, being squashed by a lower mid-card tag team wrestler.

Obviously this show suffers from an acute lack of Fillmaff!

If Bill Fillmaff had been on the card, I can assure you that this inane bickering from you Negative Nancies would have been replaced by adulation of the Fillmaff kind.

I don't know who you think I am, but don't ever go mistaking Bill Fillmaff for someone else. Bill Fillmaff is a worldwide poker champion! You better go buy my book, or I'll give you a bad beat you'll never forget.

And buy my T-Shirt.

Bill Fillmaff is right. Have you seen his website foundhere?

I've learned so much from his Secret System, I made five bucks on Internet poker. Someone tried to give me a bad beat, but with help from Secret System, I badly beat them.

Thank you, Bill Fillmaff.

It was suppose to be a clean job, remember? You read the PM I sent you wrong and wrote Flesher interfering.

The way I read it was that you wanted him to interfere, but not to actually hit you. I wrote him hitting you, which is where I messed up.

Then again, my memory is biased. So take that for what it's worth.
