This Week in College Football 10/13 - 10/15

Recommended Posts

This coming from the guy who was "sucking" Jason White's "cock" ad nauseum for the last two years on the board.

USC whooping Oklahoma was over nine months ago. Get over it!

Seems how I mentioned before that I didn't have much problem with USC after they beat OU. I had a problem when this season started and ESPN was doing everything in their power to hype USC as the god's of all college football history.

So kiss my ass Bored. You're wrong about me AGAIN.

Oh and Bomar still fucking sucks. Seriously is their some conspiracy in this guys favor? Does he have photos of Bob Stoops doing something wrong?

It is down to Bush and Young for the Heisman and well USC could probably still do well without Bush(not be dominant but do well) but Texas would be nowhere without Young.

So who's having the better college season, Dama...Bush or Young?

Well who else does OU have? It was Tommy Grady's own damn fault for not beating out Bomar and Thomspon, and he decided to leave.

Bomar was the #1 QB recruit in the country in 2004, so its not like he was a scrub coming in.

Can anyone explain to me what the call was on that last possession of the LSU game?

The Florida guys kept throwing laterals, one of which was eventually picked off by Cameron Vaughn of LSU and run back for an apparent TD.

It was announced at the game as a TD and the score was changed, so we all left the stadium thinking LSU had won by 10. It wasn't until we heard the radio reports after the game that we realized that the score had not counted and that LSU had only won by .

The main reason I can think of that it was waved off was that the last lateral went forward, which should have meant a Pass Beyond Line Of Scrimmage call.

At first, I thought the refs blew it dead, but then Vern went nuts, and I guess it was ruled a Touchdown.

It wasn't listed in any final score I've seen outside the stadium, so it wasn't an "official" score...

I'm just wondering if they could explain WHY it was called dead.

Apparently there was a rule violation when Bush pushed Leinart into the end zone on that play:

Rule 9-3-2 b

b. The runner shall not grasp a teammate; and no other player of his team shall grasp, push, lift or charge into him to assist him in forward progress.

The problem is the refs would never call it in that situation. Though it was disgusting to watch Mark May blindly defend USC on it...

Will someone actually call USC out on that one?

I'm not counting on it, no matter HOW much people in the media love Notre Dame.

The cardiac Bruins do it again, beat Wazzu in overtime 44-41.

But who cares about that....STANFORD WINS AGAIN!!! Beat Arizona 20-16. Now 3-1 against Division I-A. That's where the games count. :)

Well if you want to go statistically then Reggie Bush. But it isn't all statistics because if it was then Texas Tech's QBs would run away with it every year. I think that Vince Young means more to his team than any other player in the country. I don't think Texas would be anywhere without Young.

Then again USC would lose today without Bush.

It's too close at this point.

Well, after today's mega debacle in Morgantown it is now officially basketball season in Louisville. I am so sickened, disgusted, and flat out ready to do violence after that 4th quarter vs. WVU that I honestly needed to calm down for a couple of hours. It literally doesn't matter what U of L does from here on in. We could squash everyone by 40 pts. and this season is still a complete disaster.

Fuck West Virginia. U of L still beat you in the Elite 8. Enjoy going to the BCS and having the shit kicked out of you again by Va Tech or somebody.

And at the same time as that game? Notre Dame getting the shaft on a Dusty Finish. And the Astros taking a 2-1 series lead. My cup runneth over.

Yeah, uh, I was at the WSU/UCLA game.

Rooting for WSU.

Because I attend school there.

I pretty much want to shoot myself right now. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The Cougars are the worst team to root for in all of Division I-A. They're the anti-USC in that no matter how big of a lead they have, no matter how desperate it looks for the other team, they'll always find a way to fuck it up. God damn it.

Speaking of Texas Tech. Their QB had over 600 yards today! How is it that Leach plugs just anyone in there and they do great?

Their victories came against Florida International, Sam Houston State, Indiana State, Kansas, Nebraska and Kansas State, with their victories against Kansas and Nebraska coming by a combined margin of 16.

That's a pathetic schedule, not a product of great coaching. They beat two Division-IAA teams, for crying out loud.

EDIT: As for the Young/Bush for Heisman argument, one of them is going to be robbed. Living on the West Coast, I have no choice but to vote for Bush based on the sheer amount I've seen of him, but people in the South would probably say the same about Young.

The thing is, that happens all the time in a game, by every team in the country, so to call it on that play would be ridiculous. No need to "call USC on it", because you'd have to call every team on it.

Then again, it wasn't so much Wazzu fucking it up as it is UCLA coming back from monstrous deficits as they have the past three weeks to come out on top at the end.

These Bruins are about to give me a fuckin' heart attack, I tells ya.
