EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=4238 Got to say I'm kinda hype about this. I liked the show way back when and I haven't seen it in awhile so it will be interesting to see how it holds up.
dubq 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 I didn't even know there was a series. What year did it air?
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 1990-1991 I thought it was pretty damn good, plus Mark Hamil as the Trickster was awesome. I'll buy it, even though 60 bucks is kinda high.
Aero 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 Wow, I just came across an old tape last week that had two of the episodes on it. One had Captain Cold, and the other was when the Flash got sent into the future where Pike rules the city or something. I used to love this show when I was a little kid. Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 $60 for a set with no extras and only 22 episodes? Yeesh. I was able to pick up both seasons of Due South with 42 episodes on 7 disks for less than that.

I wonder how dated the FX is gonna look? Edited October 13, 2005 by starvenger

FLASH didn't really need much in the terms of FX so I doubt it looks horrid.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 The Flash was absolutely my favorite comic book character when I was a kid until I discovered Marvel. The series was mostly harmless, although I found the costume really cool-looking. Of course, they took some liberties with the physics and stuff (like Flash catching a bullet in the palm of his hand) but I could forgive that. The guy who played the Flash is probably better remembered as Dawson Leary's father from Dawson's Creek.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 I vaguely remember the series. Taped it, even. The only scene I vividly remember was him eating a sub really fast.

Who did they think they were kidding?

SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2005 I watched it on Thursdays because I was sick of the Cosby Show at this point, and was heavily into the Justice League comics of the time. Unfortunately, it got moved to Saturday nights and was preempted on a fairly regular basis. "Lois and Clark", which came on just a couple of years later, was actually a better show, with the exception of the episodes Mark Hamill did.

It's the way he did the catching, like he was catching a baseball or something. The bullet even bounced off his hand IIRC. I think he may have to grab it at the same speed the bullet is going or something like that. But catching it with the palm of his hand? I don't think so. And yes, I know I'm nitpicking.
