Wow, I just came across an old tape last week that had two of the episodes on it. One had Captain Cold, and the other was when the Flash got sent into the future where Pike rules the city or something. I used to love this show when I was a little kid.

I thought it was pretty damn good, plus Mark Hamil as the Trickster was awesome.

I'll buy it, even though 60 bucks is kinda high.

Also, Richard Belzer was great as a sleazy reporter.

I'm assuming that $60 is MSRP, so it's probably gonna be around $40.

I wonder how dated the FX is gonna look?

I've noticed some of the old school FX still look better than the CGI of today. FLASH didn't really need much in the terms of FX so I doubt it looks horrid.

The Flash was absolutely my favorite comic book character when I was a kid until I discovered Marvel. The series was mostly harmless, although I found the costume really cool-looking. Of course, they took some liberties with the physics and stuff (like Flash catching a bullet in the palm of his hand) but I could forgive that.

The guy who played the Flash is probably better remembered as Dawson Leary's father from Dawson's Creek.

Yea, we all know the REAL Flash couldn't catch a bullet. Who did they think they were kidding?

I remember seeing commercials for this show when I was a kid. Never got to see it though.

I watched it on Thursdays because I was sick of the Cosby Show at this point, and was heavily into the Justice League comics of the time.

Unfortunately, it got moved to Saturday nights and was preempted on a fairly regular basis.

"Lois and Clark", which came on just a couple of years later, was actually a better show, with the exception of the episodes Mark Hamill did.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. Of course Flash can go as fast or faster than a bullet, that's beyond question. It's the way he did the catching, like he was catching a baseball or something. The bullet even bounced off his hand IIRC. I think he may have to grab it at the same speed the bullet is going or something like that. But catching it with the palm of his hand? I don't think so.

And yes, I know I'm nitpicking.
