Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 16, 2005 credit : the rohboard. 1. B.J. Whitmer def. Davey Andrews with the wrist clutch exploder. Lacey continued telling Whitmer to deliver the beating, and Andrews took several exploders before Whitmer pinned him. 2. "Double C" Claudio Castagnoli def. Sterling Keenan with a pyramid bomb. Claudio hit a nice death valley driver. Good comedy spots aswell and to everyone's suprise, Claudio was way over. *sarcasm* 3. Jay Lethal def. Jimmy Jacobs with a dragon suplex right on top of his head. Good back and fourth match with Lacey doing her thing on the outside. Nigel McGuinness comes out bashing Buffalo sports teams. Talks about Joe in the roll of Shrek 3. Nigel says he is the special attraction and something else about Joe. 4. Nigel McGuinness def. Samoa Joe to retain the ROH pure title. Joe lost all 3 rope breaks in less than a min. Joe missed an oley kick, and was almost counted out, but got back in the ring at 19. Joe reversed the ace crusher into a choke. Nigel was able to push up on the ropes in the choke and pin Joe for the win. 5. The Embassy of Jimmy Rave, Alex Shelley, & Abyss def. Generation Next of Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, & Jack Evans in an absolutey INSANE no dq match. Aparently there were some batting cages somewhere, Jack Evans hit a 630 off them onto Abyss through a table. Shelley hit a variation of the shellshock on Roderick through two tables side by side. The finish came when there was a ladder ontop of Rave, Aries missed the 450 and hit the ladder. Nana and Rave covered Aries ontop of the ladder and got the pinfall. INSANE I TELL YOU. After the six-man and intermission was announced, there was some sort of scuffle and I'm gonna try to get this right. Some kid hit Aries during the match, and Aries gave the kid a forearm. After the match, the kid was talking **** to a trainee, Bobby Dempsey. The kid shoved Dempsey, Roderick Strong followed by getting Joe. The kid was telling the trainee how it was fake and all this. It followed by going outside, where Joe single-leg dropped the kid on the ground. Security also jumped in and was beating on this kid. Then Gabe & Jimmy Jacobs come in and save the kid. Gabe grabs the kid by the neck and takes him off. Everyone was out there at this point. Sounds like some good fun for intermission. 6. Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro def. The Rottweilers of Homicide & Ricky Reyes to retain the ROH tag team titles. Finish came when Rinauro hit a springboard cross body off the rop rope on Reyes. Supreme said it was a dissapointing finish, and the crowd seemed to be anticipating more, but it was a good match. 7. Low-Ki def. Colt Cabana. Homicide was talking smack to Colt before the match and Low-Ki jumped him from behind. Really good match. The finish came after a brutal ghetto stomp. 8. "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson def. Steve Corino via submission to retain the ROH world heavyweight title. Acouple of close near falls toward the end. Corino was able to escape the cattle mutilation acouple of times. Danielson won with a chicken wing crossface. Pretty good match
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 16, 2005 Other reports say that the attendence was pitiful and it properly showed why ROH will not return to Buffalo. Attendence has always been shitty for Buffalo shows but with yet another set of disruptive idiots there, Who could blame ROH for leaving Buffalo for good. The Joe/Idiot fan situation continues to get different reports but the consensus is that the fan struck Aries first. Some idiots are now calling for Joe to be arrested for taking the fan down... I personally say the fan was just another drunk idiot.

Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted October 16, 2005 Pfft. Buffalo? They need to migrate north. Niagra Falls, baby. ..or Toronto, whichever. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, because Niagara Falls is SOOOO far away from Buffalo. That would just be a totally different market, right? Geez. Let's see - 3 Buffalo shows. 1200 people. 6 idiots total (4 and then 1 and now 1). Yeah, we're all a bunch of ass holes here. Joe definitely could be arrested. You can't run out of a building and hit someone. Doesn't matter what the guy did.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2005 Yeah, because Niagara Falls is SOOOO far away from Buffalo. That would just be a totally different market, right? Geez. Because I'd rather pay Canadian money and not have to cross the border. Forget that I ever suggested Niagra Falls; I'd prefer it much more if they did a show in the GTA. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 KNK, you are a tool. What did my criticism of ROH's shadyness have to do with WWE? Why even bring them up? Oh, I know why. Because there is no excuse for attacking a fan who, from all reports, was a kid and who did NOTHING to Joe.

Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Joe's the locker room leader, which is why he was brought out. Joe could have fucked him up in one punch. He hardly attacked the "kid". If he wanted to attack some kid, why would he leg drop him? How much damage does a fucking leg drop do? He restrained him. Kid deserved it. End of story. Quit whining. But I think you meant a leg takedown, which is just Joe knocking the kid over.

JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Why didn't anybody escort the kid out of the building immediately following the altercation with Austin Aries? That would have saved everyone from going through the embarrassing ordeal and would have kept Samoa Joe from making himself look like a jackass.

That would have saved everyone from going through the embarrassing ordeal and would have kept Samoa Joe from making himself look like a jackass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They took him out and He continued to cause a incident by pushing other workers such as the trainee and verbally taunting (basically asking for it) until Joe came out and took him down. He didn't do a hulk hogan LEG DROP, but a leg take down (to restrain him, something any regular security or police officer would do in similar situation) and from there, simply talked straight to the kid, who hopefully learned his lesson. The kid deserved everything he got. There's been countless other stories of similar incidents in wrestling where the idiot fan in question got worst. This idiot kid got off easy...A take down and verbal threat from Joe? that's not much when he deserved more for throwing a punch/forearm at a worker and physically exerted himself on others. JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Where exactly did they take him out to if he was still able to get in contact with anyone in the building?
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Where exactly did they take him out to if he was still able to get in contact with anyone in the building? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It sounds like other workers such as the trainees (who double as security) were leading him out the door and he was still shoving them and such, which lead to Strong getting Joe (the lockerroom leader) to come out and confront the kid. I'd love it if this was all a work, like the Homicide/Corino fan riot was. Also, UTSU...it's an un-written rule, if you attack a wrestler, you've got shit coming your way. No different from the fan who got destroyed running into the ring at an IWA show. Or any fan who runs into the ring. Or, how about the guy who tried attacking Shane Douglas back in ECW? The only thing I disagree with is Joe having to deal with it because he's the 'locker room leader'.
Papacita 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2005 I'd love it if this was all a work, like the Homicide/Corino fan riot was. How'd that go down? I've heard it mentioned on a few ROH DVDs (never seen it though) but always figured it was real.
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted October 19, 2005 I was at the show live, and the crowd was pretty dead throughout. The only matches that really had any heat were Joe/Nigel, the six man, and the main event. Here's some more info on the incident that was at DVDVR I was outside just as the intermission began. 'The Kid' I had seen thrown out, by the Axl Rotten-looking security/trainee, was jiving back and forth with two or three ROH staff members. 'The Kid' made a comment "Hey buddy, Wrestling is fake!" The staff member got all bent out of shape and ran back inside promising somekind of retribution. Indeed the pissed off security returned with Joe and Roderick Strong (whom from what I was told was struck by the fan - not Austin Aries). Joe indeed took 'the Kid' down on the sidewalk. Joe was going balistic calling the kid on calling him a "faggot" and repeatedly saying "you hit one of my wrestlers!" The kid just laid back and shut his mouth. When Joe was being pulled off the kid, the kid said something about being a fan of his. Joe didn't like this, nor did the ROH hangers on. Some hefty, er plump, guy, that I saw at the last couple shows, who I don't think works for the company, said he'd personally escort the guy out. Roddy Strong and one of the security guards went with this unknown plump guy and took the guy right off the property.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 That Samoa Joe, he is such a respectful leader. I can't understand someone getting bent out of shape by someone saying wrestling is fake, did someone not clue Joe in that professional wrestling is indeed fake. And calling the kid a "faggot" while your choking him, just makes yourself look even more like a little bitch.
Guest Prodigy Report post Posted October 20, 2005 Joe got bent out of shape for the guy punching one of the wrestlers and continuing to start shit up. And Joe was calling the kid out for calling him (Joe) a faggot, Joe wasn't calling the kid a faggot.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 I don't understand how they let this guy stay around after the initial altercation with Aries/Strong. Did they do it specifically so Joe could come beat him up? Sounds like the kid was forgiving after Joe was done with him, and yet security decides to escort him out of the building then instead of when he was causing problems. Seems rather unprofessional to me and the whole episode could've been easily avoided.

Aries/Strong went back to ask what was his problem, The fan gets cocky and talks shit and shoves the trainee. Strong gets Joe. The kid is taken outside by security/trainees, but he still is jawing with the trainees. Joe comes out, kid shits his pants. Joe takes him down and VERBALLY assualts him. The security takes him away. Once again, JOE handled it the correct way.
