Damaramu Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Oh and Florida. I forgot to pick that one.
Bored Posted October 29, 2005 Author Report Posted October 29, 2005 Vitamin X has not submitted picks yet, if they don't by tommorrow's deadline their replacement picks will be by phoenixrising.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Sorry I didn't get my picks in earlier, but there was a hurricane and all, so my power was kinda fucked, along with 3 million other South Floridians. Georgia Tech Minnesota Nebraska Cincinnati Kansas East Carolina BYU Georgia Northwestern Mississippi State Marshall Tiebreak #2: How many yards rushing will Northwestern's Tyrell Sutton have against Michigan? 98
iggymcfly Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Wow, looks like my #1 ranking might be short-lived. After getting the tiebreak and the New Mexico/Colorado State game wrong, I now need to get all three games right tomorrow to win. Even worse, I really don't even think Nebraska will beat Oklahoma, as I regretted the pick almost as soon as I made it. I think I really might have choked away the top spot this week.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 I think I should be exempt from the thursday and friday night games due to the hurricane postponing my picks. I mean, in this time of great need, who else can we count on but the great American people to help one of our own, tragically affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma?
CanadianChris Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 I think I should be exemplified from the thursday and friday night games due to the hurricane postponing my picks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exemplified??
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Oops, I meant exempt. That's what I get for posting drunk.
CanadianChris Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Well, that's good. I really didn't want to have to sweat the Marshall game tonight.

therealworldschampion Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 DOWN GOES IGGY!! DOWN GOES IGGY!! Kidding, had to put something since I knocked off the #1 team...
Bored Posted October 30, 2005 Author Report Posted October 30, 2005 There was a virtual tie for the #10 spot this week (same record, same correct pick %, same "strength of schedule") but Marvin gets the nod over Cuban due to being higher ranked last week. Both were very fortunate to win this week. Currently only four points seperating the top 9 in correct pick %. 19 out of the 34 teams are 5-4 or 4-5. This thing is just wide open going into the final four weeks of the regular season. Also there was a tie for the #1 spot overall but because one has a better record than the other, we have a new #1 for the 3rd straight week... Bored Championship Series Top 10 thru Week 9 1. Alabama - AlwaysPissedOff 3.4 2. Georgia Tech - iggymcfly 3.4 3. Miami - Spaceman Spiff 4.6 4. LSU - teke184 5.45 5. Texas A&M - Secret Agent 5.5 6. Syracuse - CanadianChris 5.9 7. Ohio State - Gert T 7.75 8. Florida - Agent Bond34 7.85 9. Penn State - therealworldschampion 9.1 10. Maryland - MarvinisaLunatic 10.4
CanadianChris Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Wow, I actually have a chance. When will I blow it?
iggymcfly Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 DOWN GOES IGGY!! DOWN GOES IGGY!! Kidding, had to put something since I knocked off the #1 team... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's all right. I deserve it. I kind of went off last week. Anyway, just glad to see I survived my bad week as a narrow #2. I'm not going to get cocky and guarantee a win next week, but I will guarantee that I won't make a pick like Nebraska over Oklahoma again. Let's just say that if I were AlwaysPissedOff, I wouldn't get too comfortable.
Vern Gagne Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 That's all right. I deserve it. I kind of went off last week. Let's just say that if I were AlwaysPissedOff, I wouldn't get too comfortable.
nogoodnick Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Dammit if I would've won this week I would be first in my conference.
iggymcfly Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 That's all right. I deserve it. I kind of went off last week. Let's just say that if I were AlwaysPissedOff, I wouldn't get too comfortable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL. I was trying to do the humble thing, but then after two sentences of it, I couldn't help myself, and I had to throw something in there. I guess deep down I'm just a cocky prick.
Matt Young Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Oh and Florida. I forgot to pick that one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good thing I reminded you. Man... I'm tops in the conference but ineligible due to Verizon being shit-tastic in hooking me up with internet service. Bullocks, I say.
Guest Vitamin X Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 WTF?! I was screwed! My picks for the Thursday and Friday games could've won.
teke184 Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 This is gonna be interesting... I'm closing out my schedule with 3 Top 10 teams, including the current #1. #5 Texas A&M #1 Alabama Nebraska #6 Syracuse And, for those curious about how the pre-season rankings fared against the current ones, here's Bored's pre-season BCS rankings: #1 Minnesota (Vern Gagne) #2 Virginia (Edwin MacPhisto) #3 UCLA (phoenixrising) #4 Syracuse (CanadianChris) #5 LSU (teke184) #6 Georgia Tech (iggymcfly) #7 Stanford (Bored) #8 Hawaii (Will Scarlet) #9 Oregon (nogoodnick) #10 Notre Dame (Lando Griffin) Bolded teams are the ones currently ranked in the latest BCS poll.
Agent_Bond34 Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Wow... just wow... Ever since that first loss, I've been crumbling ever since. I was wondering when my luck was gonna run out.
Spaceman Spiff Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Wow, a lot of low scores this week. 6 wins got you a win in quite a few games.
teke184 Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Wow, a lot of low scores this week. 6 wins got you a win in quite a few games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's the complete opposite of last week, when I got 9 wins, won comfortably, and went down BIG TIME in the polls because everyone was making 11-13 points.
Vern Gagne Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 #1 Minnesota (Vern Gagne) I've gotten my record to 5-4, after a 2-4 start. Goal One:Winnng Record and Bowl Goal Two:Win Conference Championship Goal Three:Top 10 Ranking
iggymcfly Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 In the spirit of Minnesota, I too will print some goals for the season. Here are the goals for Georgia Tech: 1. Win the Bored Bowl. 2. Win the Bored Bowl. 3. Win the Bored Bowl.
teke184 Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Here are LSU's top 3 goals: 1. Win the Big South regular season title 2. Win the Big South Title Game 3. Win whatever bowl I end up in (Jack Osbourne's OxyCotton Bowl or otherwise)
