JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2005 Minnesota Vikings, despite their struggles, are still a team you should worry about when your team is playing them. You just never know when they'll finally get it all together and start playing up to their potential. I just hope the Panthers strike quickly and the defense plays like they did two weeks ago against Detroit.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2005 Despite the injuries and their 3-3 record thus far the Patriots are still going to win the East with simplicity this year. None of the other 3 teams in this division are even close to their level right now. Think about this: The Patriots have gone 3-3 with: 1. The toughest schedule in football 2. An abundance of injuries to key players, including the loss of Rodney harrisson and the omition of now returned Tedy Bruschi. Seymour hasn't played in 3 weeks, Dillon has NOT been healthy at any point this season, their starting LT Matt Light is out, and they seem to have a whole different group of players starting in the secondary every week. 3. 3 tough road games already. If the Pats had the Colts' pansy schedule(teams with combined 11-26 record) they would probably be 6-1 or 7-0 as well.

fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 So, what games does everyone have today? I've got Vikes/Panthers and Jags/Rams at 1. Eagles/Broncos at 4. Of course, all that really matters is the night game. Go Bills!
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Nati/Suckers, Eagles/Giants and Chiefs/Chargers
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Cincy breaking out the orange jerseys weekly pick Nati collects 4 ints and 5 sacks on Brett. Carson will go over 350 yards today.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Man, I hope Green Bay pulls off the upset in Cincinatti just to spite KNK. Never seen anyone who isn't a Vikings or Bears fan be such a punk bitch about Green Bay for really no apparent reason.

I love Brett and I hope he gives a show today but I just really feel the whole team is depleted and it's going nowhere this season.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Well, the Packers don't have a winning record, so Cincinnati will get the okay to beat them.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Stephen Davis drags three Vikings defenders into the end zone for his 8th TD of the season, and the Panthers go up early.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Well, the Packers don't have a winning record, so Cincinnati will get the okay to beat them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tell me, are you in that "maybe we can pull a carolina and run the table and finish 8-8 mode or the "let's tank the season and get Bush or someone good early in the draft" mode" Because as a Bengals fan for the last 18 years, I know that feeling pretty well. It's never fun, the appeal of the #1 draft pick doesnt do much to comfort you as a fan.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Well, the thing is, apart from a young secondary that gets picked on (as you just witnessed with Cincy going up 7-0) I can't really figure any benefit to the Packers getting a high draft pick. Aside from maybe a great offensive lineman or a DB, neither of which they'll bother with since they'd want to develop the young guys they have there. So yeah, I'm hoping for some huge upsets all the way, after all the last 4 losses have all come by 3 points or less. They could just as easily by 5-1. And another interesting stat is that, despite having NOTHING around him, and no offensive lineman in front of him, Brett Favre leads the league in TD passes and has the sixth-highest QB rating in the league. This is exactly what I was talking about in preseason about him still being able to play among the NFL's elite, he really hasn't lost a step. But the organization around him is a sinking ship, which is sad, but I admire Brett even more for sticking it out. I'll admire him even more if he doesn't retire after this shithole season. He's still playing @ the same level he always has. I'd like them to start throwing stuff at the wall and win these upsets (starting next week of course). I think winning the divison might have sailed but it's potentially possible to pull off. Bottom line... GB isnt as sad as Houston or SF, no matter how the record indicates. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 30, 2005 I'd say Green Bay is more on Oakland or the NY Jets' level as a team. They all have small adjustments that could be made to easily turn their teams into playoff contenders, and questionable coaching.
mike546 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Hey Plaxico, you need to play defense when the corner has an easy interception. Edit: Great, we've had the ball in there territory on all four possesions, and have six points. Its definitley gonna be one of those games.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 30, 2005 So, I'm stuck with the Washington/NY game, and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with Eli Manning's athleticism. His brother wishes he had that kind of mobility, I'm sure. And I'm watching the Green Bay/Cincy game via internet play-by-play on nfl.com, and just saw that the Sherm challenged a 1-yard run on 2nd down. FOOL YOU STILL HAVE ANOTHER DOWN AND ONLY ONE YARD TO GO. And the challenge was upheld. *smacks forehead*. No matter, still a touchdown, as well as a challenge and timeout wasted. 7-7. GO PACK GO

For once he did something smart.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Yeah, but why waste a challenge? You only get two of those per game, or so I thought.
Guest *KNK* Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Yeah, but why waste a challenge? You only get two of those per game, or so I thought. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. Per half. Also, the play before that was quasi questionalbe if the RB had his arm in the endzone. So He was banking that he would lose the TO anyways but might as well see if he could get lucky and get the call.

fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2005 Huge yardage day for so many people. Fred Taylor has 169 yards, Tiki has 189, and Steve Smith has 188 receiving yards. (glad he has both Smith and Tiki on his fantasy team)
