Guest wootman Report post Posted October 28, 2005 The WWE produced movie "See No Evil" starring Kane (Glenn Jacobs) as a man who does sinister things to people is listed as airing tomorrow on Scream Television in Canada. It looks like there was very, very, very minimal interest in the WWE-produced horror flick from movie distributers as WWE would have liked to have had this movie in theatres nationwide, but instead it will be debuting on a channel most people aren't aware of or even get. - lordsofpain.net HAHAHAHAHA!! I knew these WWE movies would be "Made For TV" or "Direct-To-Video." Wow, it's debuting on a channel hardly anyone even knows about, it can't even get on a U.S. channel, much less into the movie theatres, which is probably what WWE wanted. I don't even know what the hell "Scream Television" is. That should tell you how seriously movie distributers are taking WWE when they're putting their movie on a channel hardly anyone has ever heard of or even gets. Also, no one's home on Saturdays anyways. Nice to see WWE's movie plans blow up in their face like all their other outside ventures yet again; WBF, XFL, ICOPRO, etc, etc.... I bet the Stone Cold one will end up with the same fate, I've heard it's had problems even getting started. Also, it took a while for John Cena's movie to get hooked up with a distributer. I bet it will flop anyways. I love it when the tables are turned on WWE. WWE is so arrogant towards their fans, especially online ones. WWE foams at the mouth for any mainstream coverage or for national acceptance, however, most of these avenues are arrogant to them like how WWE is arrogant to most of their fans like me. I have no sympathy for WWE and they deserve this karma. P.S. - Pigs will fly before you see The Rock appear in a "WWE Movie." Even he probably thinks they're a joke as they're straight-to-video material.

Fökai 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 It's a fake listing - the rumor was debunked on DVDVR, I believe. Neither of the movies are going to be direct-to-video/television. EDIT: I meant that they are both going to be promoted as feature films.
Guest wootman Report post Posted October 28, 2005 Well, I guess that's even worse if it won't even be shown at all cause no one wants it.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 I don't see why they don't market these films directly to video. Believe it or not there IS a market for that sort of thing, and lord knows they won't make any money off it otherwise.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 Jim Ross gave me a high recommendation for the movies. He said the Cena one would blow but he said the Kane one was pretty good. It was funny though because he said something along the lines of "When I heard they were doing this I groaned and figured they'd be direct to video pieces of shit." At least he's honest when the cameras are off.

cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 Dama, when did you talk with JR? OU football game or something? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say if both Kane's movie and Cena's are released to theaters that Kane's will draw more money. Look if utter crap like Boogeyman can be #1 at the box office in a given week (which had absolutely nobody in it) then a cheesy horror flick with Kane can make a decent amount. Look if utter crap like Boogeyman can be #1 at the box office in a given week (which had absolutely nobody in it) then a cheesy horror flick with Kane can make a decent amount. Then they'd better change the opening date, which right now is scheduled for mid-May. That is the launch of the summer movie season and I can tell you Kane's movie will play to empty theatres when going up against the likes of X-Men 3 and MI:3. Cena's movie has been pushed back to fall. They are waiting the results of those movies before slating the budget for Austin's movie because if the first 2 flicks fail, Austin's movie will get a smaller budget and be a direct to video release. In other words, Austin will be doing a direct to video movie.
