The newest SmackDown tag team: The Dicks At least TNA went with The Johnsons...and at least the WWE didn't go with full body flesh colored tights... What's next? The Cocks? On a better note, wwe.com has new pics of Melina wearing nothing but the tag team titles...that should ease the pain.
cabbageboy Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 I would have used that tag match tonight to elevate someone else, not just put the titles on the already jobbed out and tired MNM act. I'd have put the titles on Regal/Burchill there. It's amusing that they job a team out for months and then put the belts back on them again as though nothing had happened. What is the point of this Piper stuff anyway? Smackdown is doing some good stuff right now but I don't have any idea how anyone could think bringing Piper back is a good idea. He's really the only legend that I frankly don't think brings shit to the table. I can see people saying "Gee I wish Hogan would come back sometime." But who would sit around wishing Piper would feud with his lackey (Orton) from 20 years ago?

They don't even try to explain the name change--it's horrible. And why would they even change the names of two guys that are genuinely related? What happened to WWE's real-name fetish? Speaking of names, it looks like Bobby Lashley will just be going by "Lashley" now. Apparently first names are for pussies.
Aero Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 The 5-way match was really good. Christian jobbing for the millionth time makes me sad, but whatever.. it was a hot ending sequence. There's no other explanation to the juniors / Boogie Man signings other than Canon sabotaging Long's show. Listening to Canon put over the junior division is hilarious, though. Great, another Booker T heel run... Because last year's was so good and effective. I hate non-sensical turns like this. Sharmell says to Teddy Long: "Booker should have been US Champion YEARS ago!" Um, he was champion last year. I want to say Eddie's going to turn heel again to set up the blowoff (Survivor Series?), but they've really done a great job in truely making the fans believe he's really a face. Having not read the spoilers going into the show, I was thinking that this was going to be the show where he turns, but it was actually an uneventful finish. Not a blowaway show overall, but still better than anything on Raw.
