My diet journal

Dama, I'm an aspiring sports journalist in Texas. The same goes for you in Oklahoma.

Sportswriters gain weight. It's a rule. That is, unless you're one of those guys that work out so much and act like you're just writing sports because of a knee injury you received during a homecoming game in high school that limits you from playing.

Don't look like that guy. Nobody likes them. This is why many people cannot stand Jim Rome, and why Woody Paige is adored.

I just quit eating garbage and started lifting weights and walking a lot. Lost almost 100 pounds in 3 years. I used to be a FATASS. Now I'm a well-oiled machine of a man that can fuck like a savage. 200 pounds of pure destruction.

Didn't you say something about just eating tuna, asparagus, and pasta too? I couldn't eat the same thing over and over everyday.

Fag.

By the way, what constitutes a fatass?  Is it a pure weight thing?  Is it how the weight is carried?

I think it's how the weight is carried. I mean by pure weight I should be considered a fatass but some people don't even think I'm fat. I just have the gut. I don't have the big bitch tits and I don't waddle when I walk and wear sweat pants and stretched out t-shirts.

That's a fatass.

Good for you man. My doctor put me on an 1800 calorie a day diet and 30 min of aerobic exercise per day to control my type 2 diabetes. I was around 280 during Thanksgiving / Christmas, but I'm down to like 258 now.

I don't think I did. I basically eat whatever I want, only sensibly. I have a fairly physical job, and when it's nice outside I exercise a great deal.

This results in me gaining twenty pounds back seasonally, but I drop it off in a month or so without any problems.

In my lardass years, I drank nothing but pop and beer, ate nothing but garbage like whole packages of Oreos and potato chips, and never did much of anything. As a result, I was just shy of a Hoffesque stature, but grew to be disgusted with my own appearance and lack of sex. Probably was on a fast track to diabetes and a heart attack in my late 30's.

It's all about lifestyle change. Keep that in mind if you ever get tired of the carb-free shit. The minute you hit pastas and bread again, you're asking for it.

I already started hitting pastas and what not again. You wouldn't think it but managing a pizza place can be a physical job. I run all over the damned store and put 3 deliveries away every week so I get cardio and weight lifting in.

I weighed myself today and found I'm at 242lbs compared to the 286lbs I started at in Oct. I just cut my portion sizes down on everything, and to be honest I couldn't eat like I use to if I wanted. I get full much faster now.

Just a quick testimonial on soda ... I drink an average of 3 cans of soda a day, and switching to diet soda ALONE, I'm losing a pound a week. I know it's slow going, but there's hope.

Hey you know while you're talking about losing weight I figured you were exercising too.

On doing ab exercises......does it burn for you way after doing your crunches?

I do crunches for my upper abs and then scissors for my lower abs.

They burn while I'm doing it but afterwards it doesn't burn anymore and it doesn't continue to burn like doing other exercises does for other muscles.

I woke up today and weighed in at 197lbs. 89lbs of weight loss since starting this thread. I'd like to get down to 185lbs before I leave just so I can see I lost 100lbs since this thread began. I'm now averaging a loss in weight of 1.5lbs a day so it could very well happen.
