Minnesota straight up

LSU and the under straight up

BC straight up and winning right now

Iowa State straight up and winning right now

UGA -2.5 and driving down the field down 1.

Good for you, I've taken a $370 bath today so far.

FSU

Texas Tech

Wisconsin

I had to make my bets smaller for the night games, and resort to making an NHL bet against my favorite team. (When its the Blues, its sure money.)

Hope you can get Georgia, it'll put some money in my pocket too.

I HATE MARK RICHT

Have the ball inside your 15? Oh fuck running the ball and killing clock, just throw bad passes, especially one to your fullback who fumbles and the ball gets returned for a TD!!

No wonder you can't win a national title ASS

Oh great and the University of Rapists is driving on Iowa State too, why didn't I just take Louisville and Texas like I was orginially going to instead of these two?

Holy crap UW got a pac-10 win. Too bad, I was hoping the Apple Cup would be a battle of 0-7 pac-10 teams.

What the fuck kind of ruling was that just now in the Auburn-Georgia game? If you fumble forward on 4th down the ball is marked where you lost it? I've never heard of that.

I think its something like the NFL's rule about how in the final couple minutes of the 1st or 2nd half if a player fumbles the ball forward he is the only person who can recover the ball and get forward progress. (extra yards-TD)

Damn, there goes another 55 bucks.

I remember something with Curtis Martin and the Jets earlier in the season. On the goal line, he fumbled trying to jump over into the endzone. A Jets reciever reciever covered it in the endzone for a TD, but it didn't count due to the rule.

And Washington State scoring a TD to end the 1st half on a Hail Mary is just one more final kick to the nuts in Black Saturday of sports gambling.

I think I may have dropped about 500 today. So much for that Ivory Back-Scratcher.

Stuff like that is why I quit betting on games after losing my ass a bit 2 years ago.

Dama, I don't get the blind love of a conference. I mean when U of L used to be in C-USA I'd actively root against assholes like Memphis and Cincy. Nothing could make me sicker than to see some of those teams do well.

Mind you, now it's a bit of a different situation. I'm almost forced to root for WVU to win out and go 10-1, mainly to protect the Big East's standing in the BCS. Let's face it, the world does not need nor will it ever need South Florida getting killed by 40 points in a BCS game. Also, if that doomsday scenario occurs not only will it kill what little cred the BE has in the BCS it would also send my boys to some shitty bowl like the Meineke Car Bowl. So in other words, go Mountaineers...until you arrive at Papa John's stadium next year where U of L will leave your rotten carcass dead on the side of the road.

Looks like the ACC will likely be the folks taking care of that at-large bid in the Liberty bowl, as well as any extra bowl spots the Big XII and SEC are going to have. UVA and Clemson added their names to the list of bowl-eligible teams today, and NC State or Maryland are likely to do the same in the next week. I can't say that the ACC has been as impressive as I had hoped this year, but wow is the middle of it deep. It's been a while since I've seen so many teams beating up on each other in such random fashion.

Because some players are crazy enough to try a mindless fumble the ball forward if I'm not going to make it on fourth down. It's basically a forward pass past the line of scrimmage. Only minus the penalty because you fumbled it. It's a good rule to be honest.

If Steve Smith gets 143 receiving yards in the next two games, USC will be the first team to ever have a 3,000 yard QB's, two 1,000 yard RB's and two 1,000 yard WR's in the same season.

Where do you all think they rank among the best offenses ever?

I guess I'm the only one that actually made any money today. I didn't hit anything big though. To be honest, I really didn't like the lines that well this week. I put $225 on Iowa State, and I didn't put more than $60 on any other individual game.

I think I ended up ahead something like $175, but this wasn't the right weekend to make a big score.

Oh, and as for the Cougars, I'm just desensitized at this point. I didn't even bother to go the game because I knew we were going to lose. Even when we were up 11, I only gave us a 10% chance of winning the game.

Could be two open bids from the Pac-10 or none. They could have as little as four bowl eligible teams or as many as seven. Stanford, Arizona State, and Oregon State all have five wins at the moment. Oregon State is the longest shot as they have to win in Eugene. Stanford gets Cal at home and god dammit they better win because otherwise they have to pull off a monsterous upset of Notre Dame the following week. ASU seems like the safest bet as they get Arizona at home in two weeks but who the hell can figure out U of A at the moment? Blow out UCLA then lose to Washington.

Everyone's favorite bad conference the Sun Belt is down to three teams. Monroe, Arkansas St, and Lafayette. Their's a pretty good shot at least one team will have a winning record.

Monroe's in the drivers seat. Win the remaining two games and they win the Sun Belt. Lafayette wins, and they'd get to play a home bowl game.

For the first time ever North Texas won't win it. I'm sure the Sun Belt would love it if Lafayette would win it since the New Orleans Bowl has been moved there. The way things look at the moment, guess who is the likely opponent for the displaced New Orleans Bowl? The Golden Hurricanes of Tulsa. Maybe the NCAA will ban their nickname. :D

I have no real problem with the actual rankings because they have two losses, but is it just me or could Ohio State beat the three teams that are ranked ahead of them?

I guess there is no real point to speculate yet because there is a lot of football left to be played, but it should be very interesting this year to see who the 2 BCS at-large teams are.

Am I correct that if you are ranked in the Top 6 of the BCS and do not get an automatic bid you get one of the at-large bids?

The Top 6 rule only applies to non-BCS conference schools as that's how Utah received a BCS bid last year. For BCS schools, except Notre Dame who only has to be in the Top 12, you have to finish in the Top 4 to get automatic at-large bid. Doesn't appear likely that anyone will fit under that this year. Early projections for this week BCS rankings have LSU jumping Virginia Tech to #5, Va Tech being the highest rank non-conference winning favorite at the moment at #6. They'd need Penn State and LSU to lose to have a shot of cracking the Top 4.
