Guest *KNK* Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 i wouldn't be surprised if grossman takes over the bears before the end of the year. while a midly stupid move, orton is not the reason for this teams success. not by a long shot. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> End of THIS year?

Still, I can't see the Bears wanting to mess with whatever they have going by changing QBs.
Guest StylesMark Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I don't know. I'm not sure if Grossman will get cut, but, if the Bears are leading the division when he is healthy, I doubt they'll take Orton out. The bears owe their success to their D. Rivers/Manning in NY could be good. Press would love it. I say the Jets end up with Reggie Bush, maybe McNair at QB, if he doesn't retire. Miami needs Leinart. If I am Marcus Vick, I wouldn't stay for senior year. There'll be plenty of opportunity for rookie QB's in 06, I think.
Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I wouldn't be so sure that Bush is coming out.
Guest StylesMark Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 He'd be a fool not to. I mean, people said the same about Leinart, but this is a RB we're talking about. The younger, the better. Bush would make HUGE money. I still question how he'll translate into an NFL star though.
Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Pete Carroll has like mind control on his players.
Failed Bridge Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 running backs have a very short shelf-life on average. His stock can't get any higher and he's on his way to winning possibly another National title and maybe the Heisman. There's no way he stays in college. LaDale White probably will stay though
Guest Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I didn't mean it. Just sparking discussion.
Failed Bridge Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Pete Carroll has like mind control on his players. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're thinking of Mack Brown, the head coach of Texas. His players seem to always stay for their senior campaign.
Guest StylesMark Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Leinart just wanted another year of all that young USC booty.
Spaceman Spiff Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Who can blame him? USC cheerleaders are hot hot hot. Those cheerleader uniforms = wonderful.
Gert T Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 The Chargers are in total denial if they think they're going to get a 1st Round pick for Phillip Rivers. I understand that he has progressed further than a 2006 draft pick, but to me it would have to come down to whether or not I rate Leinhart above him. If I'm the Jets and you have the #3 or #4 pick and you have to trade a future 1st rounder to get a QB, you may as well get the guy you want.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 The thing is I've heard the Chargers were willing to part with Rivers for like a 2nd rounder and a defensive player like John Abraham.
Guest StylesMark Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Who can blame him? USC cheerleaders are hot hot hot. Those cheerleader uniforms = wonderful. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't blame him at all. More power to Leinart. 1 ore year to party and get his groove on.
Special K Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Kitna can still be very good backing up a young QB, now that Carson Palmer is one of the elite. I have no factual evdidence to back this up, (because Palmer does have a fucking arm) I preposite that Kitna taught Palmer a lot about finding receivers. Palmer is pretty much Chad Pennington (very few mistakes) Plus a tremendous arm. What's his (Kitna's) contract status? It would at least be fun to see what he can do. I love the veterans.
Failed Bridge Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 The thing is I've heard the Chargers were willing to part with Rivers for like a 2nd rounder and a defensive player like John Abraham. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Jets were trying to push that trade when Abraham was talking about sittng out if he was franchised again. The Chargers had no interest in Abraham.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Oh ok thanks FFMS. I wasn't sure who advocated it and thought it was San Diego.
Failed Bridge Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 no problem-o Not surprising that the Chargers laughed at the proposal either. Abraham was coming off a season where he missed the last 4 games of the regular season and both playoff games due to injury. The Chargers went and drafted Luis Castillo (DT) and Shawn Merriman (OLB that can play DE in some sets) so it just didn't make sense for the Chargers.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Shawne Merriman has shown to be a great pick thus far. Lights Out, indeed.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 The Chargers are in total denial if they think they're going to get a 1st Round pick for Phillip Rivers.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> If there's two teams wanting a QB in '06 and Vince Young stays at Texas, they probably will. They won't get multiple first rounders, but I wouldn't be that surprised if they get one.
Failed Bridge Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 If Baltimore can't get Leinart then they'll cave in to San Diego's demands. They can't do another season with Kyle Boller as they're defense isn't going to have Ray Lewis, Chris McAllister, Peter Boulware, etc able to keep up the pace forever. Not to meniton Ogden and Jamal Lewis aren't going to be around for too many more years.
