Hasbeen1 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2006 I liked his role as the muscle of the group but yes, as a mystery opponent, it was a letdown.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2006 You know, I remember seeing Animal and Chavo Guerrerro team up in a tag match in WCW, and thinking they were a really solid team. I guess I like those big man/high flyer tandems.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2006 It couldn't have hurt that they worked Rey & Kidman. *** WCW Monday Nitro (Live) 01-29-01, Baltimore, Maryland WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero, Jr. & Animal defeated Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio, Jr. in 3:26 when Guerrero pinned Mysterio after Animal caught Mysterio's attempted top-rope hurancanrana and delivered a sitout powerbomb. I would have laughed if you told me all 4 guys in this match would go on to win a new set of WWE Tag Titles that were Smackdown! only.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2006 That's true. I think Animal was a little better at that point than people give him credit for as a worker, that's all.

I remember that match as well. I thought the team was not that bad. I just remember Chavo was in the zone with his matches towards the end of WCW.
Guest The Beta Male Report post Posted July 23, 2006 Scott Steiner appearing in WWE (as singles, not as part of the steiners) "gimme the fuckin` mic" it was nonsensical in that i don`t see why anyone would give him a job. although in fairness, he delivered a CRUSHING blow to the back of Tests ankle from the apron a few weeks later... in fact, every "big" WCW guy that WWE has brought in has been longterm pointless as they work a few mnths and then fuck off again. Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2006 The whole angle leading up to Steiner wrestling in WWE was weird. Remember how Stephanie and Bischoff were competing to sign him, and it basically was insinuated that Stephanie slept with Steiner in order to sign him?! Guest JumpinJackFlash Report post Posted July 23, 2006 CHUCKY! Oh...and Nathan Jones being built up as a monster from Australian prison, only to debut in some pointless squash against Nunzio. And even though he was so humongous, he didn't come across as a giant...he felt like an uncomfortable man about to be broken by anything...and by the way...has a terrible itch! [/quote that competition stuff was hella poor.. same when they did it with lesnar. and yeah, Nathan Jones.. great look.. but that`s it. poor old taker, he puts in a good word for nathan jones=disaster, then does the same for heidenreich=disaster... and now he`s feuding with Khali=.. well, you can see where i`m going with this
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2006 I thought Nathan Jones had the best "look" for a big man wrestler in a long time. Too bad he was awful in the ring, but he didn't really stick around long enough to improve, either. Oh well...what other wrestler can say they were in a scene opposite Brad Pitt?
