Guest JMA Report post Posted November 30, 2005 Boogeyman vs. Taker would set the world afire. Literally. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Would there be dueling lightning bolts?

Anyway, speaking of the US title, Orton may be a better fit for it at this point. But apparently only non-homegrown stars compete for lesser titles after they've already been World champions... I'm surprised he wasn't told to use a neckbreaker or a cutter variation of some sort.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted December 2, 2005 I saw Benoit vs Regal. Yet another match to put on tape. Way too short but that didn't stop them from putting on another spirited affair. It was weird watching the camera angles. As we all know the WWE likes to switch camera angles all the time so they can hide poor strikes. The camera work here seemed to be some kind of combination of them doing their normal hide strike bit followed by them realising they don't have to worry about that with Benoit vs Regal but at the same time realising that some of the shots might have to be edited due to stiffness so they're scared to go close in. Like I said, too short. However, that didn't stop them from ridding themselves of the WWE formula. Basically it's Regal who destroys Benoit from the opening bell as Benoit from that point on is just trying to survive the match. Instead of the normal control segments a WWE face/heel match goes through this is just really one big control segment from Regal. And it works because Benoit eats offence with a spoon and Regal can certainly dish it out. Plus Benoit was selling like a king. Similar to that HHH match he had against Edge after he got concussed from that brick shot. I believe Benoit was selling his injuries from the Tuesday show and of course the match itself but the announcers unfortunately didn't make any mention of Benoit's condition after the Booker T match. At least I think they didn't. So check the match out. One other fun thing about this was Booker T marking out for the match itself.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2005 Fuck it. Give Regal the world title and book 2006 around Benoit/Regal. They fight like men. Benoit chopping the top of Regals head and Regal selling it is, like, the spot of the year. A running forearm from Regal for a near fall. Bookers commentary is fantastic. Continually calling for the ref to stop the match. Tryin to be an announcer. Benoit doing a dive over the announce table. Fuck this match ruled.

Guest clockworkraven Report post Posted December 2, 2005 Alright, for all those wondering about the Boogeyman's finisher... He does a pumphandle liftup, then does Mark Henry's 'World's Strongest Slam', but holding the opponent so their stomach slams against the mat. Benoit chopping the top of Regals head and Regal selling it is, like, the spot of the year. Agreed.
