Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2006 Y'know, moving the kickoff up to the actual 8PM start time and hacking off the superfluous crap they have at halftime would really help these BCS games finish before midnight. I agree with moving up the start time, but the "superfluous crap" has been part of the game for over a hundred years. If they started the game at 5pm EST, the traditional start time, this wouldn't be a problem. I doubt U2's halftime highlights accompanied the Rose Bowl since before the forward pass. There have been at least three seemingly pointless wide shots of the stadium, pointless until you realize they all started while focused on the sign showing the four big BCS sponsors.
