2006 NFL Off-Season

there's a lot more to being a top caliber receiver than explosive speed.

Which Santana Moss has, you douchebag. He has AWESOME hands, and has made amazing catches that shouldn't have been caught.

And explosive speed is an VERY important key to be a top caliber WR. So go fuck yourself.

do you read...you must be able to, you can type...somewhat...I said there's more to it than just speed...Owens doesn't need to rely on that speed to be one of the top receivers in the league.

stop getting pissy with TO for ruining your team, twerp.

He didn't ruin my team, we made it without him and we could still make it without him. Now that we don't have to deal with the everyday circus of the Terrell Owens show, we can get back to our winning ways.

We finished the season 8-8, with McNabb and Westbrook injured, and TO gone. With McNabb and Westbrook coming back, the emergence of both rookies Reggie Brown and Ryan Moats and a few decent signings we can get back to our winning way.

But I'm not saying Terrell Owens is a crappy WR, all I'm saying is I'd perfer Santana Moss over him.

Can I just get some clarification on how McNabb was a "drama queen" and "as big a bitch as TO was"? He kept his mouth shut and took his shots for a year and a half before finally flipping out a bit over this most recent SB week. Hell, he was TO's biggest cheeleader until Owens turned on him.

Are these statements the next step in going after Porter's award: "Officer please don't arrest him, it was all her fault for getting him angry"

And besides, Owens is really fast anyway. Not as fast as Moss, but he's still one of the faster receivers in the NFL.

His age doesn't matter to me because the dude keeps himself in pristine physical condition.

I like how the guy says that Moss has outstanding hands and great speed while trying to say that Moss is better, while ignoring that T.O. has the same strengths.

An Owens that plays is better than any other receiver in the league, in my eyes.

Is there any chance Dallas could get Keyshawn back. I don't see any teams coming close to giving him what he wants. Daily reports would be the coolest, if this happens.

Owens isn't the fastest when it comes to a 40 yard dash, but in game speed he is explosive enough that he will get three steps on a DB before they react and he is fast enough to not be caught after that. He will, on occasion, get either a case of the drops or a case of alligator arms (some of his drops look a little iffy every once in a while).

With that said, anyone who doesn't think when between the lines that he is the best WR in the league at this point is nuts. All factors considered I would rather have Moss, but trying to say moss is a better WR is a reach.

I'm not ignoring TO's strengths, I'm saying Moss is faster and has better hands than TO. I've seen Owens dropped many balls that should of been catches, while I rarely see Moss do that. Terrell is a great talent, but he was at his best IMO when he was playing for the 49er's, because he was less ignorant and didn't need to be the center of attention. He was a much faster WR and had better hands then also.

Infact right now I have a hard time placing Terrell in my Top 5 WR's going into this season. Despite you guys may think, TO is human, infact go watch the 1st Monday Night game of last year when DeAngelo Hall competely shut him down, and when he made very bad dropped balls.

I can honestly see Keyshawn going to Seattle, because of the departure of Joe Jurivisous.

This thread... or the last two pages of it makes Baby Jesus... and Mama McNabb cry.

LOL what do you except, I've never seen a football player(Owens) draw this much media and fan attention since Lawerence Taylor's crack days, and even then he didn't run his mouth as much as TO.

My top 5 is:

1. T.O. (when he plays)

2. Chad Johnson

3. Torry Holt

4. Steve Smith

5. Santana Moss

I realize I left Randy Moss off this list, and I do not care. Torry Holt gets no credit from anybody anymore, and Hines Ward is probably 6th.

Owens use to have better hands, but now he's just settling on his brute strength instead of his actual skill. Which problay has to be because of his age.

You also left off Marvin Harrison.

My Top 5 coming into this season would be...

1. Steve Smith

2. Marvin Harrison

3. Chad Johnson

4. Randy Moss

5. Santana Moss

I feel bad putting Torry Holt(who I can could be the #1 WR, and still has his best years to come), and Hines Ward(The best overall WR), but what can you do.

Terrell Owens IS a top 5 WR, but he is not worth the risk anymore IMO. He is over 30, missed almost a year of football and is a notorious locker room cancer.

As things stand at the moment:

1. T.O. (when he plays)

2. Randy Moss (when he got his head out of his ass)

3. Chad Johnson

4. Torry Holt

5. Steve Smith

Sorry I do not buy Santana Moss yet. Try again next year if he puts on the same numbers.

No love for Marvin Harrison?

Nope, not anymore. I like Reggie Wayne better than him. They're both in my top 10.

Look at his 2 years with the Jets after Coles left, he was pretty much the only recieving talent for Pennington. Santana is for real.

Owens and Moss would both be higher if they weren't constant distractions to their respective teams, but even with that they are still unquestionably two of the best wideouts in the league.

In your top 10 do you have Larry Fitzgerald or Anquan Boldin?

Ok sure I will.

2003: 16 Games/12 starts he had 74 catches for 1105 yards, 10 TDs

2004: 15 games/14 starts he had 45 catches for 838 yards, 5 TDs

Doesn't sound like someone I'd buy just yet.

6. Hines Ward

7. Reggie Wayne

8. Marvin Harrison

9. Randy Moss

10. Anquan Boldin

11. Larry Fitzgerald

12. Chris Chambers

13. Antonio Gates

14. Javon Walker (Yes, I know he didn't play last year)

15. Tony Gonzalez

So, yeah. I still feel like I'm forgetting someone, and not Jerry Porter, because he's on the fringe.

Don't group Moss in with Owens, Moss doesn't quit, whine, and bash his QB when times are rough. Moss didn't bash Kerry Collins of all QB's, even though he was a main reason why the Raiders were losing. Moss would problay give his left nut to play with the quality of QB like McNabb and wouldn't complain if they lost a game.

The whole TO/McNabb drama really started in Week 7 of 2004 againest the Steelers when we got destroyed, Owens blamed everything on McNabb, and McNabb just ignored it and carried on winning while TO got injured.

Thank you! I agree with you on what you said there, BUT I doubt he's a top 5 WR anymore.

My top 5 receivers:

1. Randy Moss

2. Steve Smith

3. Marvin Harrison

4. Chad Johnson

5. Torry Holt

It was pretty difficult to put that in order, actually.
