Downhome Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 I may be alone, but the return of Fit Finlay is almost huge in my eyes. I was a huge fan of his years ago, and hated to see the guy retire. How old is he anyway? There is a lot that they could do with the guy. I can just imagine some of the matches that we could be seeing pretty soon. It's just too bad that he wont be able to use his old finisher here.
SuperJerk Posted January 14, 2006 Author Report Posted January 14, 2006 This may be the saddest group of title contenders I've ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought in a surprise entrant from Raw or something.
ChrisMWaters Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 I can't wait to hear the crowd react for #20. I was there, and I'll tell you...at least from where I was sitting, it was BIG.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Why did Finlay come out of retirement? I mean, I thought he was a road agent... So they can have Finlay's Fights Around the World! *has a South Park Russell Crowe flashback*

MAKIN' MOVIES, SINGIN' SONGS, AND FIGHTIN' 'ROUND THE WORLD!
ChrisMWaters Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Oh, and I STILL don't get why neither Chimmel or Garcia ever announce ringside accompanyment for wrestlers. Like, at this past Smackdown, when Birchill came out, they didn't mention Regal at ringside.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Did they mute the crowd reaction?
ChrisMWaters Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Did they mute the crowd reaction? I think they did.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 JBL is gone in like 3 seconds. lol
ChrisMWaters Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 JBL is gone in like 3 seconds. lol That was a major mark-out moment for me.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 I think they muted Angle's pop. Every report I read led me to expect that it was UnGodly loud.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Isn't Angle from Philly? Only if Philly is some new slang for Pittsburgh.
ChrisMWaters Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Isn't Angle from Philly? He's from Pittsburgh. Don't EVER mistake that to someone from Philly. Luckily, I'm from Southern New Jersey, so I don't really care.
Downhome Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 So WWE has shows all the time where the crowd doesn't respond at all hardly, so when something finally happens that the fans love and they finally do respond, they turn the crowd volume down so the people at home don't get the same effect? I don't understand this at all.
SuperJerk Posted January 14, 2006 Author Report Posted January 14, 2006 Mark Henry looks like the world's fattest Klingon.
Anakin Flair Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Wow- Animal got fat. I didn't even recognize him...

AndrewTS Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Mark Henry looks like the world's fattest Klingon. Or maybe of the fattest Klingon whore in the universe getting together with a tubby Psychlo.
Boon Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 They can't keep muting that shit forever.
slimm44 Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 It is so sad when they show a battle royal advert with guys featuring MNM, Animal (minus Heidenreich) the Mexicools, and basically other tag teams with Henry
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 They can't keep muting that shit forever. Well, except for PPVs, they can cause SD is taped.
ChrisMWaters Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 The battle royal gives me a match up I wanna see: Kurt Angle vs. William Regal.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Angle vs. Regal or Burchill. That might be fun.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 I kinda smell Lashley/Henry after they get Henry out of the title picture...
Downhome Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Let me make clear what I meant. I understand why they would mute it for heel Kurt Angle, even though I think that's stupid as hell also. But they have him come out, and face JBL of all people. A huge heel, and a guy who was just out doing a heel interview. It's like they brought him on here just for a face reaction. So why the fuck would they then mute it? Morons. And Mark Henry reminds me of one of those guys from Battlefield Earth.
