Hawk 34 Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 Outside of Tommy Dreamer, whom they weren't going to get, they couldn't have really got anyone where it wouldn't be a disappointment. Kanyon has already came in. Funk is six-hundred years old. Waltman, Justin Credible & Sabu have all been around recently. Kidman is the shits. Saturn got shot like fourteen times. Whom could they have got where it wouldn't have been bad? I liked the Awesome suggestion. Awesome is a good brawler and I think him and Raven could have had a decent if not solid showdown.

Whom could they have got where it wouldn't have been bad? They shouldn't have played the "Person from Raven's past" angle in the first place if they didn't have that person signed to a one-night contract beforehand. It's fucking stupid for a promotion trying to build itself up to do that. And if they really needed someone, they could've convinced DDP to be a heel for the night. Or Vampiro. Or even Scotty Riggs. Anyone but X-Pac, who he had no substantial history with.
Failed Bridge Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 Awesome is over in Japan though. Did they use Stevie Richards? I figure he would be an obvious choice. They also could have brought in Marc Mero and had him do his Johnny B Badd gimmik!

They also could have brought in Marc Mero and had him do his Johnny B Badd gimmik! Richards, as far as I know, is still under WWE Contract. TNA HAD Johnny B Badd, but I don't know what happened. We haven't seen him on TNA since they came to Spike TV.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted January 18, 2006 Report Posted January 18, 2006 For "ECW" purposes, I could see it being Sandman, because besides Dreamer, he had the biggest feud and storylines with Sandman. Of course there is always Funk. Why does everyone skip over WCW? He had some good stuff with Saturn, Page and Kanyon there. Kanyon has been used, I really think it's Page. Did DDP leave TNA last time on good terms or no? No. He kicked up a huge fuss over being booked to get pinned by Monty Brown in a tag match and would only agree to it after being allowed to Diamond Cut three people. They stopped using him after that.
