Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2006 If we wind up with Angle / Orton and Edge / HHH, I really don't think I can in good conscious even buy the DVD for Mania 06, let alone order the PPV. Its not a good card, but in the end, its Wrestlemania, and with the few exceptions (9, 13, 18) its never an AWFUL show, so I'm sure they have something up their sleaves to make it buyable. and even 13 had Bret vs. Austin

So I doubt this show will be a total clunker.
Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Anybody else get the impression that HHH thinks working a program with Cena is beneath him? (I'm just going on my gut instinct here.) I think HHH thinks (knows) he'd get cheered and doesn't want to play a face. Meltzer alluded to this as well on the Observer radio show over the weekend. It would be really bad for future business to have your top heel going into the bout as a face and vice versa (and HHH certainly knows this).
Shanghai Kid 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Personally, I'm pretty indifferent about Orton and Edge, so if their both in the Main Event it would be the least intriguing Wrestlemania in history for me. I don't buy that Edge is over enough as a heel to headline Mania, ditto with Orton. Their are no "red hot" heels and their are not "red hot" faces, so WWE is stuck with a card thats going to end up looking like a B-PPV or a 4 hour version of Raw. Their is one money feud they could do, and thats have the Rock come in to feud with Cena. That would be intriguing, but I don't think Rock wants to wrestle. I think WWE dropped the ball by not having either Cena or HBK turn full fledged heel. I keep thinking their wasting Shawn Micheals by not trying at least one big heel run for him. If Ric Flair can go heel for a year or two why can't Shawn? Forget about Hogan, putting him in there with Cena is counter productive to the future. Cena gets boo'ed out of the building and Hogan demands to win clean with a leg drop.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 God, WrestleMania sounds so disappointing considering what was planned earlier. ..wait, everything ever proposed for WrestleMania 22 has sounded bad. Except for it being in Chicago.
