Mik Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Keep yourself covered on both ends of the game... Baseball America: 2006 Prospect Handbook Baseball Prospectus 2006 Both release in a few weeks according to Amazon, but the Prospect handbook is already shipped and available directly from baseballamerica.com if you want to pay a few extra bucks and not have to wait a few weeks.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 I've got both on order, actually. Let me also plug John Sickels' prospect book. His is self-published and has been an excellent resource the last two seasons. www.johnsickels.com
CanadianGuitarist Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 These make an unbelievable difference in your knowledge of a sport. It's amazing how many little stuff you can forget over the course of an off-season. I've gotten the hockey ones for the last probably 7 or 8 years, same with golf. They're ideal for writers, as well. Props for posting this, I'll pick it up. With hockey's lockout last spring, my baseball love was re-kindled. I'm going to opening day this year in Toronto, and with the World Baseball Classic, I know this is the year I get really into baseball again.
Guest Princess Leena Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 What kind of golf books are there like this? I'm hoping for a tennis one, also.
CanadianGuitarist Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 It's called, aptly The 2006 PGA Tour Annual. Any variety store will have it. No news of a tennis one. Sorry.
