I don't eat my hot dogs on buns (unless they're grilled)...I cut them up and dip them in a ketchup/mustard stirred up mix.

All-beef, split, on a potato roll bun, with vidalia onions, diced green peppers, and a line or two of ketchup. When I'm feeling less fancy, no splitting, and scrap everything but the onions.
