Smackdown Spoilers for the Febuary 3rd Show

Recommended Posts

I think they are building to Lashley vs Kane/Big Show at WM. They keep double chokeslaming him all the time.

Im also fully disapointed that they want to stick Randy fucking Orton back in the main event picture again despite the fact that he flat out sucks. I kinda wish that they had just let him win the Rumble and not tease all this shit about Rey winning the Rumble and getting a title shot. Not only does it totally cheapen the Royal Rumble, but it also reemphasizies the fact that only BIG guys have a shot at the 2 major titles even though theres a guy thats more over (whether you like how he got over or not) than everyone else on the roster. This is also why RVD will never carry the WWE/Heavyweight Title and its stupid.

I look forward to them auctioning off Eddie Guerrer's soul. I might place a bid or two for it.

Maybe they'll sell "Eddie's Ghost in a Can".

People who really believe that Mysterio is over cause of this "Eddie's spirit" BS are delusional buffoons, let alone blind to the fact that Rey's coming to Wrestlemania is a blessing in it's self. Would you rather see HHH or Batista in another garbage main event? And who really was interested in the rumoured Batista/Orton idea? Dave'have to botch every move in my reportoir at least once, can't keep a stable physical condition despite looking like an over-roided brick shit-house, have to take several months of injury time because I can't keep one useless muscle togeather'Batista vs Randy'done it all twice and still nobody cares'Orton? Pft, I'd pick a TNA event over that any day.

They've done this before when HHH won the Rumble in 2002 and then was feuding with Kurt Angle, they had #1 contender match at No Way Out with Stephanie Mcmahon as the special ref, this was that stupid 'split up' angle with her and HHH, remember? The wedding ceromony and all that shit? Anyway, Angle won this match via screwjob then they're was a re-match the next night on RAW which HHH won and still wound up going to Wrestlemania. As for Angle, they stick him in a dead end feud with Kane.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same crap with Rey Mysterio, only this time it would suck worse because Orton doesn't need nore deserve any more cheap ass victories over better wrestlers. However, if this match at NWO is to establish that Mysterio can actually compete with and beat wrestlers who are taller then him, then I'm all for it. It would be so cool to see Rey beat Orton's overrated ass despite it being a poor match on Ortons part obviously. Orton has beaten Rey before and doesn't need another rub-over.

This is where I'm at in terms of this, exactly what do they expect with Orton Vs Angle? They can't seriously expect this to draw, because Triple H/Cena and McMahon/Shawn isn't going to bring up the numbers either.

So what do they intend to do with Mysterio for Mania? He's the #1 babyface on Smackdown, I would imagine they likely place him in this year's MITB match because I don't see them making any effort to give him a meaningful match after they put Orton over him @ NWO. The best solution now, to fix this mess is just turn the world title match into a four way match by adding Orton and Benoit/Henry (whoever Undertaker doesn't wrestle) into the mix, instead.

The best thing WWE can do at this point since they won't be able to set up a card strong enough to match the last two WM's...

They will have to try to make it similar to the WMXIX design with a work-rate main event (Rey/Angle:Brock/Angle), McMahon vs superstar(McMahon/Shawn: McMahon/Hogan), another smark wet dream (UT/Benoit: Shawn/Jericho), a "dream" match between two legends (Foley/Hogan: Austin/Rock) and the required generic Triple H title program (HHH/Cena: HHH/Booker).

Of course WMXIX was a failure that has to be credited to the overpromotion of the least desirable "main event" and the lack of effort on the build for the rest of the card.

Right now, WMXXII looks headed for WMXIII level and I don't think we'll see anything reach the quality of WM13's only saving grace.

WMXI was much worse in match booking and overall match quality. Seriously, Undertaker/Psycho Sid vs Lawrence fucking Taylor/Bam Bam Bigelow? Not much of a contest.

Um, what? You might need to brush up on your history. WMXXII was headlined by Shawn/Bret iron-man and even so, WMXI (which held the LT/Bam Bam match) had the better main event. As LT/Bam Bam was still a better match then UT/Sid, also you can easily argue that was just a spectacle main event(which it was) and the real main event was HBK/Diesel which killed WMXIII's main event.

WMXIII had it's saving grace in Austin/Bret. WMXIX was a commerical failure but it was a solid show with Angle/Lesnar, Shawn/Jericho and McMahon/Hogan (on the SE scale) all delivering.

Right now, it doesn't even appear that WMXXII will have a match to save the show and will go the route of WMXI of having a completely flat show with minimal importance.

Boo fucking hoo.

That's the sentiment. If people are really upset with Eddie exploitation, why don't they step up and say something or do something about it? If it means that much to you, why don't you ask for a release? Or step up to the McMahon family and say enough is enough, you need to knock it off.

Guess it's easier to just clam up, bitch under your breath, and collect that check? Yes, I know Vince and Co. hold a lot of the guys livelihoods up and if they speak up, they'll be buried or whatever, but c'mon. Nut up.

That must be really difficult to say while sitting in your computer chair.

First of all learn to comprehend typos.

And dude, Diesel/HBK was much more of a disaster then Taker/Sid. How you say Taylor/Bigelow was even better is beyond me, that match sucked beyond belief, but Diesel/HBK was just sad, so many times outs, Sids constant interfering and one of the worst botched powerbombs in history. At least Taker won the title and it mattered to the fans.

Frist of all learn to check your posts before posting them instead of having a pop at people who notice your mistakes.

From a business point of view Wrestlemania 13 was a bigger disaster than Wrestlemania XI. WM XI managed a 1.3 PPV buy rate thanks, in large part, to the extra publicity that Lawrence Taylor got the event. WM 13 only managed a 0.77 buyrate and only grossed half as much revenue as WM XI. Not only that but it was also outdrawn by WCW Uncensored a week earlier. That's pretty crappy for the company's biggest show of the year.

Also, from a match point of view, both Diesel/Michaels and Bigelow/Taylor were far more entertaining than the Sid/Undertaker shitfest.
