From there, it would be anyone's guess, because I think he's good enough to steal a bunch of games. Team USA is good at grinding it out though, so they're a tough matchup. Add Tim Thomas to the mix, too ... now that he's qualified for the league leader stats, he'll be among the league leaders in save % and GAA. I'd feel more comfortable with him or Miller than any of the three goalies named to the team. ESPN went all homer with the USA team and not only has them medalling, but beating the Czech Republic for it. I'm surprised ESPN even acknowledged hockey as an Olympic sport. They're not big hockey fans, y'know. The most recent magazine had a joke about how the playoffs would immediately have controversy over a shoot-out ... even though there won't be shootouts in the post-season. Crack research staff down there in Connecticut. At this point, it's safe to say that unless a goaltender stands on his head, there's no way that the Amerks will win a medal. Which is fine by me, this is a rebuilding era for the US team. There was a lot of older talent (that's being segued out) and there's a lot of young talent (that's too young to make a difference now) but there's not much in between. He's playing reasonably well for Hartford, but not good enough to warrant even back-up status in the NHL at this point. The guy's not getting any younger. My belief is that he'll still be good, but won't put up numbers like this, which is disappointing. There's nowhere to go but down from where he is. And they finally fucking won. For basically the first 3/4ths of the season so far, I really didn't think this team would do much if they made the playoffs. But who knew Rosival would be a PLUS 31, who kne Lunqvist would be amazing, and who knew Jagr would be so good again. This team has it, and I don't see why they can't win the cup. Miller played in 15 games in the 2002-03 season and three games in the last NHL season. The player must not be older than 26 years before September 15 of the season in which he is eligible.
