TNABaddboi Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Well, it's Saturday, and for two more months, that means Impact, so here's the OAO thread. Here's the preview, per TNA's site: SATURDAY NIGHT ON "iMPACT!" ON SPIKE TV The night before "Against All Odds" on Pay-Per-View This Saturday night on SpikeTV, catch "iMPACT!" the night before "Against All Odds" live and exclusively on Pay-Per-View! All your favorite TNA stars will be on "iMPACT!", with more matches announced for the Pay-Per-View! In addition, both Jeff Jarrett and Christian Cage will be in attendance - who knows what hell could break loose before Sunday's big NWA World Heavyweight Title Match! "iMPACT!" MAIN EVENT: "The War Machine" Rhino & Ron "The Truth" Killings vs. "The Monster" Abyss and "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown Four of the top contenders to the NWA World Heavyweight Title will clash in a tag team match this Saturday on "iMPACT!". The question is, what will happen when Abyss and Rhino collide the night before their "Fall Count Anywhere" brawl scheduled for "Against All Odds"? Tune in and find out! FINALS OF THE TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT Chris Sabin & Sonjay Dutt vs. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong The finals of the Tag Team Tournament to determine who will face America's Most Wanted for the NWA World Tag Team Title at "Against All Odds" will take place this Saturday night, as Chris Sabin and Sonjay Dutt square off against Austin Aries and Roderick Strong. The winners of the bout advance to face AMW for the gold at Sunday's Pay-Per-View extravaganza! Also in action this Saturday night on "iMPACT!" X Division Champion Samoa Joe in a three-way challenge as the "Samoan Submission Machine" prepares for AJ Styles and The Fallen Angel the next night on Pay-Per-View! Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) vs. The Diamonds In The Rough Plus, more matches announced for the "Against All Odds" Pay-Per-View! Coming off last week's show, which I thought was pretty good despite the low number it received, coming again with a decent looking line-up. The tag final figured to be good, if it gets as much time as the first round match-up between Aries/Strong and the Naturals got. The pre-PPV main event tag is always fun, though I'm not sure how Monty and the Truth figure into this one, since neither guy is booked for the PPV yet. I like both guys though, so I won't complain too much. 3D and the DitR did not mesh well the last time they faced each other on Impact, so here's hoping they work better together this week. And Joe's going to kill two bitches....that is all. And of course, the most important questions are what is going to turn up on the ShellyCam and who's going to use the "Sting's not really gone" hammer this week. Anyway, here's the line-up, so discuss you're before, during and after thoughts here, of course keeping it ~SPOILER FREE~ until showtime.
HandofFate Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 the Truth is gonna be on the Pre-show against Bobby Roode last I heard so it's kind of a reason to factor him in
HandofFate Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 the Truth is gonna be on the Pre-show against A-1 last I heard so it's kind of a reason to factor him in wrong information can burn you... *sigh*
ChrisMWaters Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 ...is it me, or is Spike running a bit late?
ChrisMWaters Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Oh great...Larry Z in the booth.
Placebo Effect Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Sonjay is fucking sloppy here.
Placebo Effect Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Ohhh my God. That Seagal commercial was AWESOME.
Placebo Effect Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Am the only one who thinks this entire match seems awkward? In addition, TNA should've started off the match by showing the tag tournament brackets. Maybe I missed it.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Sonjay seemed too slow for the pace of the match
Hawk 34 Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Let's hope the new CEO considers Dutt, dead weight.
Placebo Effect Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Let's hope the new CEO considers Dutt, dead weight. So true. Unless India is bringing in some good money for TNA, he's no longer needed.
Placebo Effect Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 D-Von's got a nice puddle going.
EdwardKnoxII Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Damn that was a sick blade job by Devon.
Placebo Effect Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 "Breaking the code of the X-Division." Jesus Christ.
GODSON Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 I enjoy the main event. TNA heavyweight division is starting too look good.
Silence Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 "Breaking the code of the X-Division." Jesus Christ. Yeah, Tenay. This isn't Ring of Honor 2002.
GODSON Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 The good thing is that 95% of the Impact viewers don't know what Ring of Honor is. Only the 30,000 fans who order the ppvs knows about ROH.
Carnival Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Sonjay Dutt made me want to puke, i hate his fucking guts. If you're gonna be a spot monkey, at least hit your spots, monkey.
