Guest NYChris Report post Posted February 12, 2006 Senseless violence and breasts save this movie from being the carbon copy/cookie cutter third installment of the series. Not bad of a movie but it maybe only a rental for some people and not worth a movie ticket.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2006 An interesting fact: When I saw Final Destination in theatres, a major disaster happened the next day (It was the shuttle crash). When I watched it on DVD, a major disaster happened the next day (It was the Tsunami). Needless to say, I haven't seen it since then. Anyways, I think I'll wait till part 3 comes out on DVD. Mole 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2006 I saw it with my girlfriend on Friday and it was horrible. Nuff said.
Guest Smues Report post Posted February 12, 2006 Joe Barber of the Washington Post: "Half-naked teenagers are told they're going to die, and then die. Quite frankly thank you for dying, don't come back, there doesn't need to be a number 4, thank you." I highly doubt I would get any more entertainment from seeing the movie then I did from hearing that quick capsule review. I'll pass.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2006 The thing is, they really can't do anything more with the initial idea (death is after you) anymore. I liked the 2nd one, but I knew after that one, that they can't do anything to make the idea behind the series interesting anymore.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted February 12, 2006 The first two sucked, why make a third?
Guest NYChris Report post Posted February 12, 2006 I read that there is a book series. One of the books has a female cop who is attacked by a psychopath. The female cop is saved by a homeless man who kills the crazy guy. This alters the lives of 6 other people who were supposed to be killed by the crazy guy. That could be interesting for a movie. Mole, I dont know how you can call the movie horrible. If you didn't know that this movie was going to be a carbon copy of the previous movies I dont know what to tell you. I only went to this movie to see senseless violence and the rollercoaster accident.
fazzle 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2006 As long as the death scenes are fun and gruesome, I'll enjoy it. That's the only thing the series is good for, cool deaths.

Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 The deaths were pretty damn vicious...but the movie sucked badly. They covered most stereotypes when it comes to teens. emo/gothy kids who shun everyone else over the top "as if" girly girl angry black jock seemingly stupid but deep down sensitve jock the bestest dead friend in the world the perfect boyfriend who dies the chick that mours him the annoying rebelious little sister the overly dorky guy who thinks he's a pimp and isn't while the deaths were entertaining (way more graphic that in past instalments), the movie was just awful. Bad acting, bad attempts at humor, and a plot that just made little to no sense.

DangerousDamon 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 I watched this whole movie for free on You Tube. I'm glad I didn't waste 10 bucks on it.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 I downloaded this. The death scenes aren't as fun as part 2, but the build-up to them is tense at times and can get ya a little spooked, in anticipation of what the impending gore will look like. My favorite particular scene's build-up, not spoiling whether or not the person lives/escapes, is in the weight room. The "crushed from the sky" scene is jacked from FD2. It's cute, though, because the character in FD3 mistreats some pigeons, which caused the similar death in FD2. The tanning bed thing reeks of "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer", so big minus for lack of creativity. The whole "whiny girl who has a premonition" and "male lead" co-star was done in FD2. More lazyness. And what the HELL was that ending?!?!?!?!?!?!? Overall, though, it does an okay job at what the movie is supposed to do: Have a little humor, non-believing teens, add some suspense, and have some gore scenes. The previous versions were much more clever, original, and gorier, though. Rent, if you must.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 THe best thing about the deaths is that there wasn't a likeable charcter, so you didn't mind seeing them go. Favorite death was either nail gun or truck engine. Awesome stuff. Every death in FD2 got laughs from the crowd I saw it with, even though 3 sucked, I'm glad they made them more gruesome.
