swan Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Raised Roman Catholic. These days I'm independant. :-) I think organized religions are a sham for the most part. More about how big and pretty the church is and money. No thanks.
Lord of The Curry Posted February 15, 2006 Report Posted February 15, 2006 Confirmed Lutheran, haven't been to church in about 5 years or so. Don't plan on going anytime soon.
RepoMan Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Set up courts and bring offenders to justice. Seven commandments, they don't even hold you to the full ten. Yeah, but you have to set up your own legal system, that's got to be a major pain in the ass.
DMann2003 Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Roman Catholic (and have been since before I was born) Don't go as much, but still consider myself Catholic, still believe the big things, don't get hung up as much on the little things (Figure cause God's infinite he'd never be much for details anyway, just the big picture) Girlfriend and her family's Church of the Nazarene, which is a much different experience going to, lot more singing and open praises being spoken out loud- Nice church though I still feel more comfortable during a Catholic Mass.
Big Ol' Smitty Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Raised Southern Baptist. Now agnostic.
tekcop Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 My grandmother tried her hardest to raise me as an Apostolic Pentacostal. I ened up an atheist some how.
SuperJerk Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 My grandmother tried her hardest to raise me as an Apostolic Pentacostal. I ened up an atheist some how. Funny how that works...
iggymcfly Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Yeah, really. My mom raised me strict Catholic and I still went to church every Sunday through high school, although I stopped believing by my senior year. I'm 20 now, and I'm a confirmed atheist. I think the idea that man just made up 100 different god stories seems more likely than the idea that they correctly guessed there's something out there that they have absolutely no evidence for, and 99% of them just managed to get every single detail wrong.
Brett Favre Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 and 99% of them just managed to get every single detail wrong. I don't quite follow.
Guest Princess Leena Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Roman Catholic. Stopped caring during the high school years. Same story as most.
Vampiro69 Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Raised Methodist and still attend services once in a while, usually while visiting my parents.
SuperJerk Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Since I didn't go earlier... Raised Pentecostal, now agnostic.
Mole Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 I was raised in a Congregational Church, which is apart of the UCC.
