TSM Fantasy Baseball 2006

Well Iggy, it always happens that once the leader gets cocky, something happens. Sorry it was Pujols, I'm kind of glad I picked 2nd in the draft now.

Right now, I am hoping that Beltran is okay, and not out for 2-6 weeks like Pujols, though with Floyd out, Beltran pretty much has to play for them this week. It's easy enough to plug in Outfielders.

My Pitching is not the best, but Schmidt sure has been nice. Punting saves I was doing, might go back to that. But still, two months in and this is where I am? I can live with that.

I'm still glad I took Pujols. He'll be there for the playoffs which is what really matters, and I'd say his production over replacement for the early part of the season outweighs the weeks I'll miss him. Besides, I still have the second best player in the league in Soriano.

My pitching has gone to shit lately though. Beckett's gone from looking like a Cy Young pitcher the first month of the season to looking like a AA pitcher the last week or so. He gave up 15 runs over 6 innings in his last two starts.

I'm getting more production from Ramon F'n Ortiz than Jake Peavy, Pedro Martinez and Johan Santana, have an offence lead by Scott Hatteberg, yet my last place team is up 9-1 on the league leader. I can't see it lasting though.

I'm about to be the beneficiary (I think) of another DQ on the pitching side, which should gave me another 9-3 win. That'd be two weeks in a row my opponent hasn't made it to the minimum IP.

On target for a 1-11 loss, even at this stage i think it's safe to say last place in this league is mine for good. At least it's a keeper league, Hanley Ramirez/Pedro/Santana/Peavy will give me a good core to rebuild this mess next year.

I have completely punted saves. Using Liriano and Nolasco as SP's in the RP slot.

Muwahahahaha

Thats only working cause everybody else is punting Holds.

Shit, I decided to punt saves before the draft. I'm 9-0-2 on holds so far though, so it's worked out pretty well.

Im glad no one picked up Wickman last week while he was sitting on the waivers..hopefully he'll get me some saves (already has 1) and may replace Tyler Walker when he comes off the DL.

Oh, and not that I think anyone will..but if anyone wants Mark Mulder..I'll consider a trade.

Pujols took batting practice yesterday! Hooray! The savior's on his way back!

Hopefully, facing Midcard 4 Life will keep me in first for one more week until he returns.

Colon and Buehrle is going to carry my pitching and the recent pickups of Ross and Kemp will do the utility work on the batting side. Victory is mine!

I'm happy with the trade, but I got screwed out of a roster spot this week since the trade was approved after I went to sleep. And I've got Kazmir on the bench this week, to boot.

I feel the same, and I'm guaranteed to lose all my pitching points.

Lucked out this week, I'll win every pitching category since my opponent will miss the minimum by 2/3rds of an inning. Thank God Brett Myers beat his wife up!

The Cranky Old Men were pretty pissed about after falling out of first. They came out fired up on Monday with 17 hits including 4 HRs.
