CanadianGuitarist Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I'm thinking of putting my tax return towards these two titles and a Gamecube machine. I've played the demos and am hooked....How are they in the long haul?
Matt Young Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 Both are great if you play a lot of multiplayer, especially Strikers. That's the best 4 player game on the Cube, period, Smash Bros. be damned. But if you're stuck playing by yourself, I wouldn't recommend spending the Canadian equivalent of $50 American on each.
Scroby Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I say rent first than buy if you like.
claydude14 Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I'll vouch for Strikers too, however as stated only if you have some people for multiplayer.
CanadianGuitarist Posted February 16, 2006 Author Report Posted February 16, 2006 How bout Baseball? Thanks for the soccer advice...
Nighthawk Posted February 16, 2006 Report Posted February 16, 2006 I thought Baseball was good, but the least fun of the Mario sports titles. Part of that is because I just don't like baseball, though. The multiplayer stuff is true, but Strikers is the best Mario sports game on single player.
the max Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 Baseball is fun, if not repetative and easy once you get timing down. I've only played the Strikers demo, but it's pretty enjoyable. Tennis was pretty fun as well, the minigames and wild courts make it more entertaining. My favorite was Mario Golf though. The courses are very well designed and it is a very entertaining golf game (which is saying a lot for me, since I hate golf).
TheBostonStrangler Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Strikers is phenomenal multiplayer fun. It owns me.
AndrewTS Posted February 20, 2006 Report Posted February 20, 2006 Reggie announced on G4 that Zelda's been delayed until Fall 2006. =( I just dreamed I was playing it the other night. *sigh*
