Edwin MacPhisto Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 "Another Sunny Day" is now my third favorite B&S song, after "Lazy Line Painter Jane" (#1) and "The State I Am In" (#2). I don't feel so strongly about "Another Sunny Day" now, though I still like it quite a bit. Also, I hate "For the Price of a Cup of Tea"; "Funny Little Frog" is fine by me. I love "For the Price of A Cup of Tea"! I always enjoy listening to it back to back with "One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later)." A year and a half later, this album has held up really well, and I've gotten a little further into the B&S back catalog, too. My concerns about excessive tweeness have largely gone by the wayside.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted August 23, 2007 Author Report Posted August 23, 2007 "FTPOACOT" is excessive tweeness made reality. It's a fucking Mentos commercial.
PUT THAT DICK IN MY MOUTH! Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 The only good Belle & Sebastian song is "Your Cover's Blown"
Guest Soriano's Torn Quad Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 "FTPOACOT" is excessive tweeness made reality. It's a fucking Mentos commercial. I'm really bothered by my inability to dig up old Mentos spots on youtube. Just dumbass 14-year-olds re-enacting them and recording their efforts on cell phones.
PLAGIARISM! Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 I think 'For The Price of a Cup of Tea' works well in the context of the album.
Guest Gym Class Fallout Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 Epiphany: Bryter Layter!
Ravenbomb Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 I've heard "Your Cover's Blown", "Judy and the Dream of Horses", "Step Into My Office, Baby" and something about a Pizza something
