The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2006 I must've missed the meeting where we all decided that we liked Mark Henry again. Kurt FUCKING Angle couldn't make Henry look good at the Rumble, so what makes you think Taker vs Henry will be good? Well it was kind of hard to do. Henry looked like he didn't even want to be there that night at the Rumble, and Kurt never really adjusted to the guy. He wrestled him like he was everyone else. Everything else with Henry has been okay/good though.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2006 "Last week, it was announced that Theodore Long was forcing Gregory Helms to back up his claim of being the greatest cruiserweight ever by making Helms defend the Cruiserweight Championship every week. Last week, Helms pinned Psicosis to retain the gold; who will be this week’s challenger?" Good question, WWE.com. Good question.

Wonder if all this "Helms must defend his title against all comers" stuff is leading up to a WM Title defense against a mistery opponent like, say, Jushin Liger? Guest panthermatt7 Report post Posted March 1, 2006 Whatever it's leading up to, I'm sure creative hasn't figured it out yet. Remember the whole GM angle, where Bischoff was going to be fired and his replacement named immediately thereafter? Then, they couldn't decide who the replacement was going to be? Prime example. It looks like really bad e-fed booking, where there is a cool angle but then someone's internet get shut down.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2006 In fairness to the GM thing, they were likely planning on just making it Dusty, but Vince was having too much fun being on TV again so the whole thing was dropped until after Mania (according to Meltz). Just John 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2006 SD gave an above average show yet again this week. Booker/Tatanka was meh, but it served it's purpose to get the Booker/Boogeyman feud over, even if that idea is inherently bad. Orton/Crazy was a decent little match. Nothing spectacular, but there were some good spots. MNM vs. Hardy/Animal was fine standard tag match. Animal heel turn? Well, it's different at least. Finlay and Lashley had fun brawl. I'm actually kinda looking forward to their Mania match. Angle/UT was about the same as the 03 match. Good for a tv match, but the tv finish really leaves a bad aftertaste. No Helms, Benoit, or Mysterio this week? Odd.
hyperchord24 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2006 Signs that TNA is being seen as a threat? Tazz mentions "nonstop action" Tazz calls a chinlock a "rear-naked choke" Angle/Taker II was very good and I'm glad they gave as much time as they did. Although, with all of Angle's reversals into the Ankle lock, it won't be fresh anymore after a while.
