- TNA was as of a month ago reaching out to two names "bigger than Sting," according to Dave Meltzer.

- Former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Sabu is expected back in TNA some time in April.

- Kevin Nash is said to be interested in coming back to TNA.

- TNA has reportedly planned out main events for the entire year, with the top of each PPV basically mapped out, including Sting's participation.

- Jericho's XM radio show has been extended to two hours. He has no intention of coming back to wrestling any time soon, and is reportedly cutting back on his music as well as he concentrates on acting. Supposedly it would take "Sting money" for Jericho to consider coming to TNA. He has a role coming up in a movie called Shoot 'Em Up that will star Paul Giamatti and Clive Owen, and is shooting in Toronto. Christian will also reportedly have a role in the film.

- The Japanese wrestlers tentatively being planned on for the X Cup tournament are Jushin Liger, Tiger Mask, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Rocky Romero as Black Tiger.

- MIA Team Canada member Johnny Devine was sentenced 1 year probation and a $1000 fine on 1/23 due to assault causing bodily harm in Calgary. This is from his participation in a fight while a bouncer in 2002.

- TNA iMPACT! is holding a high number of UFC viewers in most demographics.

- Jay Lethal was awarded a TNA contract due to impressing Jeff Jarrett in a match on 1/17.

- Shannon Moore's girlfriend is the former Julie Drozdov, who makes Jeff Jarrett's outfits. Adam York, who had been working with TNA, has been hired full time by WWE to do ring outfits. He is touring with the company. Ryan Phoenix is an indie wrestler that is now working with TNA in this capacity.

- Jeff Jarrett missed 2/3 and 2/4 shows in Puerto Rico due to being with his wife, who has suffered from cancer. Abyss missed the shows due to traffic.

- Kevin Day is TNA's new CEO and said that everyone is being evaluated and no one is untouchable.

- Shane Douglas has been missing from TV recently due to being put in rehab for painkillers by his wife. Tom Prichard, Glen Gilberti and Jeff Cavanaugh (from Border City Wrestling) recently had tryouts as agents/on-air interviewers. Terry Taylor and Jeremy Borash have been doing the on-air interview duties lately.

- Bill Behrens, recently released by WWE (after working at the Deep South Wrestling promotion), is back with TNA, hired to book indie dates for its talent.

- Konnan needs hip replacement and shoulder surgery.

- Samoa Joe had brief discussions with WWE but ultimately decided to negotiate with TNA. He has reportedly agreed upon a two or three year deal.

I hope she comes out of everything ok.

And as much as I dislike Jeff dominating the main event scene, he seems to have a very good eye for talent which I do love about him. The rest, not a fan.

Aren't Tiger Mask and Black Tiger supposed to be mortal enemies? At least, I know Eddie was made Black Tiger II so Tiger mask IV could have him to vanquish, as I understand it

Has Johnny Devine been used much lately? I don't recall seeing him. Have they been keeping him off TV until this has been resolved?

He has not been on in a very long time. I'm thinking FSN? He was out with that injury, then A1 replaced him. Devine did write some stuff for the Canadian portion of the TNA site though.

Hopefully now that his case is settled they'll bring back Devine. Underrated as hell, and miles ahead of the bore that is A-1.

And Silver King was Black Tiger III to feud with Tiger Mask... erm some number

Eddy couldn't have faced IV cause I that's the current one isn't it? or at least it's not the one back from the mid 90ties

Eddie was Black Tiger II brought in to face Tiger Mask III.

My bad, then

So who were these two names bigger than Sting? I figure the options are pretty limited - Goldberg, Lesnar, Jericho, and maybe Austin (don't remember if he's under a contract right now). Other than them, I can't think of anyone bigger than Sting who's not under a contract.

Well..there are only a few names out there bigger than Sting.

The Rock, Hart, Austin

Jericho is a step below or equal...even though it feels weird to put Jericho next to a guy like Sting for me anyway.

Goldberg and Lesnar each had about two year runs.

Goldberg is a much bigger name then Sting was.

Jericho is an equal to Sting, Jericho was an over star at WWE's peak (Summer 2000) that the fans were begging for. He still remained ungodly over despite how stale and buried he became. He has obtained modest c level star credibility in the mainstream.

Lesnar does fit the bill for a bigger name then Sting, alone with the face value of his name, his status with the american wrestling fanbase and the significance that Brock Lesnar would bring to TNA.

Given the wording of the note (was as of a month ago) my first thought is that it was just a combination of old rumors and the 2 names were Goldberg and Bret Hart. Even if Hart isn't going to happen, it sounds like they were "reaching out" to him roughly a month ago.

I also have little to no doubt that they've "reached out" to Jericho and Lesnar ats ome stage or another since they just seem like guys you'd obviouslly love to have if they want to come. You'd at least be feeling around with them, especially if Cage is maintaining a relationship with Jericho (isn't he doing a movie with him?) and New Japan serves as a connection between TNA and Lesnar.
