I heard the new cap number will be somewhere between 102-105 million.

The Jets who were in cap hell, if this goes through, will be around 20 million under the cap. Nice.

Well, this increased cap bails out pretty much every team over the cap. I now have new respect for Dan Snyder. His whole reign all you kept hearing was "eventually they'll have to pay" and "the cap is going to catch up to them at some point", yet it never does. It finally comes to the brink and they're bailed out. Maybe he really was the smartest man in the room and saw this day coming. They should have played this year at the 94.5 million number.

There is going to be some insane money thrown around to FAs now though with all the extra cap room, on one Eagles MB someone who always knows their cap status estimated that after dumping TO the Eagles will have around 35 mil in cap room. That is nuts.

It was approved by a 30-2 vote and none of the teams that everyone thought were going to present a problem voted against the deal this time. It was Cincinatti and Buffalo who voted against it, two of the lower revenue teams, so I wonder what the revenue sharing deal ended up looking like.

Apparently it is built on a tier system where the top 5 teams in terms of revenue kick the most into the pot, the next 5 teams (6-10) kick in a little less and the middle teams (11-15) kick in the least amount. Also, according to the Commissioner's press conference (that was on NFL Network earlier), they took ideas proposed by different owners (including one by the Jets and Pats) and combined them to find something almost everyone could agree on.
