humongous2002 Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 This is the best idea WWE has ever had in a long time, but this could turn into a bad idea if: a) RVD does the job (again) to HHH, thus killing ECW and RVD's overness. or b)RVD wins @ ONS 2 but gets a one month WWE title reign.
Art Sandusky Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Last year's ECW show didn't get the spectacular number that was first reported. It was under 300,000 I believe, way down from the initial 800,000 estimates. The actual number was about average for WWE PPVs.
claydude14 Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 According to this site, http://www.100megsfree4.com/wiawrestling/p...wf/wwfppvbr.htm which I'm not going to go and say is completly trustworthy, ONS only drew slightly below the Rumble, and if it wasn't for the stacked Vengeance card it would have been the highest drawing non-big PPV. So it was still pretty successful considering how little it was pushed on TV.
Dangerous A Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Possible scenario for all of this... -HHH defeats Cena for title at either WM or Backlash. It doesn't really matter because he's getting it in the end. RVD wins MITB. -After HHH defeats Cena for the 2nd time, you start the Cena turn to heel. (like it's not already happening, but now you push it) -RVD challenges HHH for title shot at ONS II, which is in June. - RVD defeats HHH for title at ONS II with help from newly drafted Rey Mysterio (rumored to happen in June) - Next night on Raw, Vince exiles HHH for letting WWE down. This writes HHH out for a bit since Steph is expecting in July. HHH blames it on Rey on the way out. Rey and RVD now become top faces on Raw. -During summer, have new heel Cena start to feud with Rey immediately after HHH takes off. RVD starts program with Edge culminating in them headlining Summerslam. -At Summerslam, HHH comes back to screw Rey in whatever match he's wrestling and starts feud with Rey. You really can't go wrong with RVD or Edge on top, just as long as it's someone fresh. -Post Summerslam is HHH feuding with Rey and RVD or Edge vs whoever WWE wants in the slot, I guess.
SuperJerk Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 And why is there a One Night Stand 2? The wordplay doesn't match up. Alright that comment has been made before and before. you know it is possible to have two one night stands right? even with the same woman and all (to keep up the analogy) I mean picture this - you meet a chick have a one night stand then a year later she comes along again, she's a little older, a little less attractive to most guys but you're desperate cause you just can't seem to connect with the really fine looking women so you have another one night stand with her. One Night Stand 2 and I think you'll find that analogy very fitting of this situation too Then they should call it "Another One Night Stand".
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 This is the best idea WWE has ever had in a long time, but this could turn into a bad idea if: b)RVD wins @ ONS 2 but gets a one month WWE title reign. You're going to get a lot of short-term reigns so Hunter can get to #17. Nobody will ever get a real chance to carry the belt with Hunter around, so the best you're going to get is a reign that lasts anything up to a couple of months. It wouldn't be the worst idea in the world, and might be the best one they can pull off with all the former ECW guys they used at the first ONS now out of reach, so why not go for the monster pop at the end of ONS 2 with ECW's golden child beating the one guy that will get more heat than anybody else.
NoCalMike Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Geez, I can only imagine what the ECW faithful would be chanting at Triple H as he goes to try and grab the mic to cut a promo.

I mean for once in a looooooooong while, Triple H would actually come off looking like a real heel, not some wise-cracking smart-ass that half the crowd likes.

Lt. Al Giardello Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Poor hopeful RVD fans... RVD >>>>>>>>>>> Randy Orton, anyday of the week.

jester Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 I would almost like to see HHH on ONS2 just for the crowd reaction.
