slimm44 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Yeah, this show is filled with thrown together matches. Aside from the 8 man war, Ultimate X and Brown/Cage..this show is just filler...not that I'm complaining.
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 BAD show so far. James Gang vs. Homicide and friends was abysmal on every level and you KNOW the feud is going to continue. Lethal vs. Shelley was best match of the night so far, **3/4 approx. EDIT: Actually it was worse, some spots looked like ass. I still have high expectations for Destination X and the main event, though, so we'll see. Thats about my feelings as well - also this 4 way match is better than I expected.
ChrisMWaters Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 DAMN! That counter by Dutt was cool, IMO.
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Great last 5 minutes and that finishing sequence was off the fuckin chain. Totally blew away anything that I thought it was going to be.
Astro101 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 I like this show so far, just my opinion though. But damn, did the last 5 minutes pick up on that match. Dutt with a...how would you even describe that counter? I thought Petey needed this win more than Sabin.
Carnival Posted March 13, 2006 Author Report Posted March 13, 2006 quick run down Pre-Show Shannon Moore d. Cassidy Riley via Whisper in the Wind Diamonds in the Rough d. Shark Boy & Norman Smiley PPV Alex Shelly d. Jay Lethal via Sliced Bread #2 Lance Hoyt d. "Maverick" Matt Bently via big boot Team Canada d. The Naturals via hockey stick James Gang & Bullet Bob d. LAX Chris Sabin d. Puma, Petey Williams & Sonjay Dutt via cradle shock on puma
ChrisMWaters Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Why doesn't TNA ever do split screens for these types of matches so they can show all the action?
Red Baron Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Damn I wish I had PPV so I can see Young doing all this shit.
Astro101 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Keller gave the X division spotfest ****1/4. I think that's about right.
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 This 8 man started strong but now is just so sub-standard and basic it's boring me to death. They should have kept the brawl going instead of this.
Guest flair4thegold Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 anyword on who JJ brought in? Not able to get the PPV, so getting my fill here
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 anyword on who JJ brought in? Not able to get the PPV, so getting my fill here Hey man nothing much to report other than a good X division match. Nothing yet in the 8 man tag with any run-ins, etc.
Guest flair4thegold Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 yo red, long time no see! how's it going?
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Damn Killings is really over with the crowd - thats gonna get annoying hearing "WHATS UP" all the time though.....damn I thought that was over with the Killings fall on Storm.
Carnival Posted March 13, 2006 Author Report Posted March 13, 2006 What exactly was the "brokeback mountain" chant? Just "Brokeback Mountain" or what? I couldn't hear it. I like how Teny & West are producing the show...saying "GO WIDE, GO WIDE!" during the double Wasssups. JJ wins! YES! pins the truth.
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 yo red, long time no see! how's it going? Goin good! Run an arts and entertainment magazine out of southern Minnesota, I'll put the latest issue on my sig tonight in fact, its got HHH on it (promoting a house show in Rochester, MN). How about yourself? PM me if you wish, bro. Horrible finish w/ Jarrett over Killings. Bad bad bad. No run-in by whoever Jarrett is bringing in tonight, no Sting run-in either.
Carnival Posted March 13, 2006 Author Report Posted March 13, 2006 Borash said Samoa Joe's streak is comparable to Bill Goldberg, Joe said, it's not about "who's next" it's "who's left" Bill Goldberg will come in and beat Joe for the X title. I can imagine the bitching about that one. haha
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 That was a waste of filler with Jarrett calling out Sting The shits already on in Ultimate X, big spot by Joe to both on the outside Joe's climbin!!
Guest flair4thegold Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 nothing from sting or jarrett guy? weird. Has joe fell from the X yet?
ChrisMWaters Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Styles and Daniels double team Muscle Buster onto Samoa Joe. Nice little move there, and their way of getting payback.
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Wow double-team muscle buster on Joe!! Cool spot Joe's doing quite alright with the gimmick of the climbing, etc, but there are still plenty of spots they are going to do I'm sure before its hard to say just ok he can work within the whole gimmick
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Joe bleeding hardway? Daniels just f'n won!! Out of nowhere!!!
Carnival Posted March 13, 2006 Author Report Posted March 13, 2006 Daniels wins, wtf? that was unexpected.
Astro101 Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 WTF?!?!? That's it? No more play on Joe climbing the ropes? That was short.
RedJed Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 Ok first impression of that match - could have been so much more, not as good as either of the other matches they did in three ways. I suppose the big finale is a three way in a cage at Lockdown. So that is where the time will go that was left out here - the finish literally came out of NOWHERE to me. No doubt a match that was going somewhere and "had potential" but they totally cut the legs out of it. Now I see why it didnt go main event I guess.
