2GOLD 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2006 He wants out? Is he stupid? Doesn't he realize most teams in the NFL don't think he can cut it NOW?? He had chance after chance to be the guy for the Lions and he couldn't get it done. Unless the Ravens want to be stupid and grab about quarterback disaster, I don't see anyone who will be crazy enough to take him.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted March 16, 2006 Call me crazy, but I'd love Zona to pick Joey up as a backup. It seems like he's cut down on the interceptions in the past couple years. There's few QB's with better pocket presence than him, and Detroit's line was always a problem.

Kismet 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2006 Leena is closer to the mark than the people who put all the blame on him. The revolving door of free agent receivers with alligator arms, 1st round after first round WR's that have amounted to a pile of nothing with a few flashes of brilliance from Roy Williams, piss poor offensive line, lack of a consistant running game, not to mention some of the most boring, conservative playcalling in the league all contributed to the recent failure that is the Lions(also can't forget the contributions to the suck from our glorious leader Mr. Millen). That being said, I don't blame him for wanting out or the fans wanting him to go. It hasn't worked in four years, and he's shot confidence wise. A back-up role for a year or two and a chance to start eventually at a new place would give him that last chance to be something other than that weak ass QB Detroit had in the Millen era.I don't know if even a top level qb would of been able to win alot in Detroit the last few years, and Joey right now is far from that. Out of the current Qbs going foward, I guess let McCown and Kitna hash it out in the preseason and hope one of them catches fire, leading Detroit to the ever elusive 8-8 record they strive for. Jorge Gorgeous 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2006 http://media.putfile.com/Joey-2005 By god! A quarterback doing poorly against the defenses of Tampa Bay, Chicago and Carolina! He should be ashamed! Honestly, when I watch this movie, I don't think about how bad the quarterback looks, I think about how bad that offensive line looks. You put Manning or Brady in Detroit and they're going 7-9 at best.
