Fartsauce Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Andrew Peters just became one of my favourite players.
Guest Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Wanted Belak to fight him, Wade didn't, so the referee shooed him to the side boards, at which point Peters practiced his golf swing. Once he got the boot, he waved at the Leafs bench as he skated towards the locker room.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 I'm ready for the playoffs to start. The next week is going to be boring...
CanadianGuitarist Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 Peters, that's fucking awesome. Even if Atlanta misses the playoffs, I can easily see them taking the Southeast title next year. That could be the strongest division in the league 12 months from now.
CanadianChris Posted April 17, 2006 Author Report Posted April 17, 2006 No Hasek: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=162984&hubname= I want to cry. Of course, it's not like I didn't see this coming.
CanadianChris Posted April 18, 2006 Author Report Posted April 18, 2006 Washington just took the lead on Atlanta with 10 minutes left...if they hold on, Atlanta's out. I didn't think Atlanta would just skate over the Capitals. They're a team that matches up very well against the Thrashers.
stahl Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Crosby is the youngest player ever to hit 100 points in a season. So far he has 3 assists.
stahl Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Probably partly because they pulled Dunham, but then put him back in the game.
CanadianChris Posted April 18, 2006 Author Report Posted April 18, 2006 That's it. Montreal and Tampa Bay are in the playoffs. Tomorrow will just be about positioning.
the max Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I'm glad Atlanta didn't make it. Waddell was too cocky in guaranteeing the playoffs and that rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe he'll get overzealous and fire Hartley. Bruins could sure use a great coach like him. His players actually listen to him.
skullman80 Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I was at the game for Crosby's 100th pt. I was there for the first goal, and many inbetween, but tonight was a special night. There was an aura when you walked into the arena, like you knew something special would take place. The crowd was a playoff atmosphere from the drop of the puck, for a team that had won 22 games all year long. When Malone buried the slapper to make it 4-1 off the Crosby pass, the arena shook. I hugged people I didn't know. People were waving towels and tshirts and just partying. A good 5 to 10 minute standing ovation for Sir Sidney.. Nothing short of an amazing rookie year, and the NHL is in good hands with Crosby/AO/Phaneuf etc.....
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I went to the Ducks' last regular season game. The playoff series between Calgary and Anaheim will be insane. There were so many Calgary fans in the Pond.
