Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted April 11, 2006 Sorry VX. It was either him or Davin Joseph. I felt Jean-Gilles was the better choice. Besides you have the best 1st round pick, IMO. Thanks. I'd really hate to see Green Bay end up with Mario Williams. He's like the second coming of Jamal Reynolds, I can just feel it.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 Btw I don't see the Lions taking a QB since they took one last year and have McCown/Kitna to boot. I agree, but that's what I would do if I was GM. I really think Omar Jacobs is going to be a pro bowl QB.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 Fair enough.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 No word from nogoodnick on if he wants to stick with the Browns and more than enough time has passed on the pick, so we'll give them Tamba Hali, DE, Penn State and move on Baltimore is on the clock Another note: For now I can only be on here while I am at work 8:30-4:30 so any time outside that please try to keep this moving by at least checking in this thread often as I won't be able to send out pm reminders except while I am at work. Yay run-ons.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 Interestingly enough, Tamba Hali falling this far might actually happen. From what I've heard about his pre-draft workouts, he's been dreadful.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2006 Seems like the interest in general is waning. I'd think this should be the last round.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 Let's see if we can get back on track with this shindig. Remember, if you aren't going to be on and see your pick coming up in the near future please kick out a PM to someone Baltimore's time is up so the magic 8-ball gives them, Daniel Bullocks, S, Nebraska Philadelphia takes Thomas Howard, LB, UTEP. He is the athletic freak of a linebacker they have been lacking to match up with Witten/Shockey/Cooley. He is still raw, so he will look like a fool at times, but he has the size and speed to match up with TEs and be a quality blitzer (the two things they desperately need at OLB) St. Louis is on the clock. Prime Time Andrew Doyle 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 With the 46th pick in the NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams select Darnell Bing, S, USC Height: 6-2 | Weight: 227 | 40-Time: 4.53 Strengths: Has excellent size...An explosive natural athlete...Has outstanding instincts...Does a great job of supporting the run...Tough, strong and physical...Can really lay the lumber...A playmaker who has a knack for being around the ball and making the big play...Productive and experienced having started three years for the Trojans. Weaknesses: Does not have great timed speed...Is not very natural in coverage...Goes for the big hit rather than the secure tackle too often...Can be too aggressive and will overpursue at times...Durability is a concern as he has a history of minor injuries. Notes: Was a part of the famed 2002 Long Beach Poly high school class that also included Winston Justice (USC), Marcedes Lewis (U.C.L.A.), Hershel Dennis (USC), and Manuel Wright (Miami Dolphins)...Did not qualify to play out of high school and spent 2002 at Long Beach (Calif.) City College...When all is said and done this guy is the type who always seems to come through with the game changing play. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Even though the Rams signed Chavous from the Vikes, they have had a chronic inabillity to stop the run in recent years and with a guy in the backfield like Bing, he can try and help stop their run stopping woes. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 Here is an idea for anyone who wants to go another one or two rounds. Would anyone be interested in being here at a specific time to knock through a third, maybe a fourth round if time permits.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 I'll likely be done after this round.

Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2006 I hate you Andrew Doyle
Gert T 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Bing would be a pretty good pickup for the Rams. I wouldn't mind banging out another round, but it looks like we'll stagger to the end of Round 2.
tominator89 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 I can only wish that the Eagles draft goes this well.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Ah fuck it. I'm not waiting any longer. San Diego picks Jonathan Joseph, CB of South Carolina. There, my obligations to the draft is fulfilled.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2006 Yeah I really doubt I will have the time to do another round. I am on vaction in Toronto right now.
Failed Bridge 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 what's fucked up to me is the fact that pinjockey stated in the initial thread that if you had no real desire to go through with a draft of at least a few rounds then not to fucking bother.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 I did have the desire, but nobody else appears to and at this rate the real draft will be over by the time I get to my third pick. I'm still a ways away from my second.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 I would have kept going if things moved at a regular pace. I don't mind if it was 12 hrs. It's been over THIRTY SIX hours between the Rams' selection and my fake/now since it's been 3 picking periods since, my pick now is legit. If people came in here and did their damn jobs, then I'd continue past 2nd round.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 what's fucked up to me is the fact that pinjockey stated in the initial thread that if you had no real desire to go through with a draft of at least a few rounds then not to fucking bother. Don't know if this was directed at me or just restating what I stated earlier. If it is directed at me for not keeping it on track, it is more than fair. I just saw it turning into the same thing that happened last year, got a little pissy and said fuck it. If it was just restating, well the above still stands just think of it as an apology instead of a response. That sentence made sense in my head, I swear. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2006 For the sake of a last ditch effort we'll give Atlanta Kelly Jennings, CB, Miami Minnesota is on the clock

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 I would have liked Jennings to drop. Now back to fixing Tampa's horrid offensive line I guess.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2006 I almost took him for the Eagles, they need an heir apparent to Rod Hood at nickel (I consider the nickel CB a starter in this era), but the need at OLB was just too big.
