Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2006 Yeah I chose Heyman as well, since I figured that he was a steal at 1 million dollars. Plus he does appear on Smackdown this week, plus the special and the PPV.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 7, 2006 I took Kennedy over Finlay... figuring it was more likely he'd be involved in ECW stuff since he's returning. And would probably be put over strong. Oh well. Heyman was an easy pick, though. He's a lock to show up at least once on all 4 shows. That's 14 points minimum for $1 million. Which is great value. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 I sent a question to the Fantasy board asking why only Big Show received win points for the BR. By the way the rules were announced, "Team ECW" should have ALL received points, similar to an elimination tag match.
Astro7x 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 Heyman was an easy pick, though. He's a lock to show up at least once on all 4 shows. That's 14 points minimum for $1 million. Which is great value. Question: Now that ECW has been announced as a new brand, will ECW One Night Stand be counted? -James of “whoopassU” Answer: ECW-related programming will not be scored in Season 7, and as such, ECW One Night Stand will still not be scored. However, the Fantasy Board is currently determining how to handle the ECW brand extension in future seasons of WWE Fantasy. So, no ECW show points in season 7? Damn... That really makes no sense. They let you draft ECW talent, but anything on an ECW show will not be scored.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 The fact that we are discussing how the ECW show (although I guess it was a WWE show), the PPV, the future Tuesday shows being scored, and the fact that the website that above quote came from also has several more saying ECW will be scored SHOULD clue you in to the fact that's an answer to an old question (it's also their auto-response to questions about ECW scoring, but that may have been fixed since I didn't get one about the battle royal scoring), but since it didn't, here goes: That's an old question. When Season 7 started, they had no intention of scoring One Night Stand. When ECW was announced as a full revival, they said they would not be scoring it. Based on fan response, they changed their mind (it was announced towards the end of week 2, effective week 3, which is this week). Bottom line, America: One Night Stand and ECW in general = socreable.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2006 I see they announced their error in only giving Big Show specialty match win points for the battle royal. Not sure if that helps me with the extra points, or hurts me by giving everyone else more points. As I expected, I dropped down after SmackDown (damn you Finlay!) but here's hoping I get back into the top 5 after the PPV. I bet Leena loves the name of the current overall first place team... I find it more than a bit coincidental that with the top team being named "WWE Fears Alex Shelley", the top 10 ranking ticker on WWE.com's frontpage is gone. But maybe it's only there at the beginning of the week?
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2006 This was my one good week picking guys. I mean, I pretty much lucked out Picking Finlay. Im up to 22nd. Week 4 is interesting because I think theres a lot more potential in the $3 million range of superstars than in the past 3 weeks..my only $5 million guys are Rey and HHH but I've managed to pack 6 more guys into my roster. Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2006 Man I can't get any higher then 14th place. Well with next weeks roster I am going to be having 8 wrestlers go for me. That could turn into a giant clusterfuck.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2006 I just noticed that post point correction, I Hate Wrestling is #5 overall with MHA now in 12th. Bottom line, America: Our league has a Top 5er.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2006 I was all set to pick JBL for my team today, but Fantasy caught on and removed him from the roster (as per the commentator rule). I have a 10 man team this week (and I bet you can guess who five of them are), so hopefully I get back in the top 5 in our league.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2006 I Hate Wrestling moved up to 3rd overall.. Im still stuck in 22nd place with lousy performances from everyone I had on RAW. Logic for next week dictates to load up on RAW for RAW/PPV I suppose...

Vampiro69 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2006 Who on the board is I hate Wrestling?
Guest Scud Report post Posted June 14, 2006 Who on the board is I hate Wrestling? I am. This is my first time trying this and I probably won't be very consistent, if you look at my picks for the previous weeks I didn't do too well. I don't know how often weeks like the third one happen. This week seemed like a hard week to pick and I'm dropping down places as a result. For week 5 I'm loading up on Raw wrestlers and picking up some ECW wrestlers who should get lots of appearance points. RAW Edge $4,000,000 RAW Johnny $2,500,000 RAW Johnny Nitro $3,500,000 RAW Kenny $2,500,000 RAW Mikey $2,500,000 RAW Mitch $2,500,000 RAW Nicky $2,500,000 ECW Paul Heyman $1,000,000 ECW Rob Van Dam $4,000,000 ECW Sabu $4,000,000 ECW Steven Richards $1,000,000 These are my picks so far, if they decide to change anything before Monday it will probably be different. Heyman will most likely be on both RAW and ECW many times, and since Stevie was with Heyman whenever he was talking about invading Monday I figure they are both good choices for only 1,000,000. The odds of Johnny Nitro and Edge winning titles at Vengeance seem pretty good to me and the Spirit Squad seem like they will get many points even though they won't win. DX might squash them which might make picking them a bad choice. I'm definitely open to suggestions as to what to do and I appreciate the advice.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2006 Something you may all want to know, apprently Fantasy is counting ECW "extreme rules" matches as specialty matches. Lets look at The Zombie (arggggggghhhh) vs The Sandman as an example. Since it was a "extreme rules" match, the cane shots Sandman did didn't count during the match, but since he won the match, he got specialty points for winning the match....then the 3 cane shots after the match counted. Just something to think about when picking ECW wrestlers. Oh and Scud you should watch "Week 4 in review" over at WWE.com.
