Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 That was an awesome spot. Good match. Steiner didn't look bad tonight. The true test will be one on one. And if he can't carry a major one on one, that's okay, keep him strong in squashes and tags, that's all, he's there and seems like he wants to work, I'm sure he made enough in his last WWE run if he didn't want to wrestle anymore

Though I still wanna see him try to bust out the Frankensteiner just one more time in his career for some sick reason.
luke-o 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 Just got back from watching my first LIVE PPV on the stream thing they do for us europeaners event, and i must say im very happy. TEAM JAPAN VS TEAM USA Very good opener, strong moves and great ability. Was surprsied to see Japan get the victiry though. Still, an awesome match. DANIELS VS LOW KI I couldnt quite hear what Low Ki calls himself now, somthing like Sushi or something. Still, we lost the feed for most of the match so i missed it all, but i read that Sushi won. Again, surprising. Loosing the feed meant i also missed the arm wrestling match, damn. I was really looking forward to that too. And from all accounts it sounded like a hum dinger! Apperantly Bob won. Big woop. That means LAX hasnt won a single match in that fued. X-SCAPE MATCH Great match, we got the feed back as petey was against Shark Boy. Gutted to see Shark Boy go first and i felt sorry for Chase missing the shooting star press. Im sure he was gutted back stage with his whopping headache. Great booking at the end, and I'm happy to see Chris Sabin win. JOE VS SABU Very predictable and I didnt really give a toss for the match. Although Joe looked weak against him at times. Glad Joe won, but this does nothing for his "rise in the heavyweight ranks" TEAM 3D VS TEAM CANADA Havent we seen this match before? Anyway, despite what my fellow commrades said, I thought it was great, just for Eric Young and Brother Matt (im not calling im Brother Runt and i believe that it wont last for long and he will be known as Brother Matt). Wasnt at all surprised at the outcome of the match, but it was fun none the less. DEBUT OF CHRISTY HEMME thank god shes still gorgeous! CHRISTIAN CAGE VS ABYSS Solid match and im sure silenced a few doubters about Cage's title run. But I do agree that he should wrestle on Impact a bit more. Nice frog splash from the top, and a nice finish. Although my friend was behind Abyss 100% to win, and when he hit the black hole slam i was convinced for 2 and half seconds before he kicked out. Great ending with Abyss walking away with the title. LEATHAL LOCKDOWN I predicted the order of entrants exactly except for one (I didnt think Steiner would come down last for Jarrats team) Good paced match, some nice moments. The pyro on the roof was a little over sezlous but nice none the less. AJ's spot was very good, now im afraid of hieghts and that ladder didnt look sturdy at the best of times, so major props to him. Great to see Sting win, although it happened quite suddenly (doesnt that mean he's undefeated in TNA? better watch out Joe...). Oh and Big mention to Gail Kim's ass. very nice indeed. Other mentions go to the return of Raven with a new look for blue hair and fatter gut. I'm a huge raven fan so this was like my highlight. But that does bring on the question, who is the new face of TNA managment? BRET HART? GOLDBERG? WARRIOR WARRIOR? RUSSO? BISCHOFF? HILLYBILLY JIM? THE BUSHWACKERS?! May'be we'll find out on Thursday (or next saturday for us UK'ers, or Tuesday for the impaitent ones)
Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 I THOUGHT THEY WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO GET THE HELL OUT OF THE CAGE...AND AJ AND STORM ARE ON TOP OF THE CAGE. no escape my ass.. Has there ever been a type of cell match that was promoted for no escape where no one actually escaped? You act surprised.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 Christian/Abyss not being a blood bath angers me.
RedJed 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 The Joe/Sabu match was definately a letdown, and the Duds/Canada match and Arm Wrestling stuff didnt do shit for me either, but everything else was good to great in some instances on this show. The Lethal Lockdown match was way better than it had any right to be, really gave me some weird vibes from old War Games matches with great heat, and then the top came down with the pyro - reminded me when they would drop the cage to start War Games, and that match will be remembered for that huge memorable spot by Styles of course. Really legitimate "holy shit" spot that you just dont see in wrestling everyday - and TNA should promote that big spot hard on future shows to make Styles also really stand out as a unique part of the company. World title match also exceeded my expectations, both guys worked really hard to make it worthwhile. The X division matches except Joe/Sabu really were better than usual too - really great opener, Ki/Daniels was good, and the Xscape match was also damn good. Much better than last ppv! Blade2kxx 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 I expect that if Sabu stays in TNA, we'll see a rematch when he's 100% that will be what this match was supposed to be... That's if he stays, which I really hope he does as he's a good fit in the company.

ZGangsta 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2006 Well me and my friends were certaintly entertained. That was the 2nd TNA ppv we've ordered (after Bound for Glory) and I was happy with it. Joe/Sabu was a bit of a let down from what I expected, but Sabu had a broken arm, so understandable. Christian/Abyss was way better than I was expecting. luke-o 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 The more i think about the PPV, it was really good, obviously with the a few exceptions. Just gutted i missed the end of Daniels/Sushi match.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 I liked the PPV. MOTN for me was Christopher Daniels vs. Low-Ki/Sen She, with the NWA Title match and main event coming in close. Joe vs. Sabu was disappointing considering who was in it, but with Sabu having a broken arm it was probably as good as you were going to get. The opener was really good, I skimmed the arm wrestling and skipped over the Anthem match entirely. The six-way elimination cage match was acceptable, but wasn't anything you'll remember next week, outside of the shooting star press off the top of the cage by Chase Stevens. Jingus 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2006 To all the people who hate on the Joe/Sabu match: Sabu is middle-aged, had a badly broken arm, and spent the entire day of the show stuck in airports due to flight delays and didn't even get to the building until bell time. AND he knew he was getting jobbed out cuz of the new ECW thing starting up. Under the circumstances, he delivered a damn fine performance.
