Guest InuYasha Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 http://www.stunning-stuff.com/read-weird-n...tories/127.html Kerrang 105.2's Tim Shaw told the sexy babe he was prepared to leave his wife and their two children for her. The DJ's wife was listening and immediately started an auction on eBay to sell his Lotus Esprit Turbo with a 'Buy It Now' option of $1.00. The item description read: "I need to get rid of this car in the next two to three hours before my husband gets home to find it gone and all his belongings in the street." The car was sold in under five minutes. It wasn't the first time this DJ upset his 27-year-old wife. When she was pregnant he rang up her sister live on air and said he thought about her while having sex with his wife. Mrs Shaw said: "When he said he would leave me and the kids for Jodie Marsh, that was it for me. I am sick of him disrespecting this family for the sake of his act. "The car is his pride and joy but the idiot put my name on the log book so I just sold it. I didn't care about the money, I just wanted to get him back." She added: "There is no hope for a reconciliation." A Kerrang 105.2 spokesperson said the DJ was 'absolutely gutted'. "Ha ha!"
Art Sandusky Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Man, wish I had caught this. I'd love an Esprit for a dollar.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Should have sold it for $.01, Ebay fees are going to cost her most of that $1.
Guest Smues Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 That's just awesome. Now the question is does whoever bought it keep it or sell it for a tidy profit?
Art Sandusky Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 That's just awesome. Now the question is does whoever bought it keep it or sell it for a tidy profit? I'd keep it, get loads of ass, feel like a big shot for a few months, then sell it. Summer's coming up, after all. As for the 105.2 frequency, there are certainly even decimals on the FM dial that can be used for stations, they just aren't used too much for some reason.
Fökai Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 I thought that even decimals were barred by the FCC? Unless this is outside of the United States, which makes it a moot point.
2GOLD Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 I would have called in and mocked him that I bought his car for a dollar. Then I would have sold it.
Guest Felonies! Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Google says it's a British station, so that explains it. My minivan's tuner doesn't even stop on even tenths.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 get this fluff out of general chat, put it in CE or something.
Art Sandusky Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 I've got a little tabletop stereo and it does each tenth on both the AM and FM frequencies. I figured it was commonplace.
Guest Felonies! Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Also take into consideration that I have to roll down my windows by turning a crank.
Art Sandusky Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Yeah, even in the most high-end cars I don't think I've seen a stereo that did even tenths as well. It just didn't shock me 'cause I've got a little Magnavox unit from 1997 that was only $120 at the time, hardly a top-of-the-line piece.
Dobbs 3K Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Yeah, in Europe the radio frequencies are allotted differently. FM operates on even decimal points (as opposed to odd ones in the US), and also AM station are separated in 9 kilohertz increments instead of 10. OK, I'm a radio geek, so sue me.
